Questions about to become a VIP

Hello.

I don't know if I'm posting in the right section for this topic now
but as it's only "FORUMOPHILIA RELATED", I think I do.

Here's a question of mine where I couldn't really find a correct
answer of it in all the threads:
Does each member get VIP access who got more than 300 posts?

I mean here are members around since years and got 0 posts.
Here are members around since 1 month and got 400 posts.
To come to the point;
Here are members around since 2006 who got 250 posts but
if I do a search on their posts then I find out that they only
contributed with a little bit of chat and not even one movie
or one picture-set. Some of these guys didn't even thank
other uploaders for what they download but got the nerv
to request things over and over. This so called group of
people got only a little bit of chat, requests, a few "thanks",
some statement how they feel about a girl or a post, only
criticism like what they don't like and at the end they come
to 300 posts without having one picture or movie shared.
Does that mean that they get VIP-access as well now?

I mean if they would then it wouldn't be fair to the people
who share gigabytes here, talking about that they spend
so much time and efforts to upload their content for us all.

Well, that doesn't mean that each member have to upload
a specified amount of gigabytes to be a VIP-member but
if I see a member here who's registered since 2006 and
didn't share at least some porn here then I get the weird
feeling that they are just too lazy to share anything what
can be downloaded by others.

No offense but a few days ago I've found out that a member
called "altontowers" just posted in the generall chat and most
of his posts were jokes. I realized that because I was kinda
annoyed about him as he made jokes about MJ who just died
so I searched for posts of him through his forum-profile and
didn't find any porn posted by him. I mean it's okay somehow
but makes it sense to consult a porn-forum to tell nothing but
jokes and at least get VIP-access for that?
If so, I could consult a comedian-forum and copy all the jokes
out of it and paste it here on forumophilia to get VIP-access.
No offense, of course. Just facts and me being confused and
curious.

How do you as staff-member feel about this or how do you
handle that?

You won't become VIP automatically (sure, your rank changes, that's done by the boards software).

Admins will check all posts made by members, who request for access to VIP and they decide, if they grant access or not and tell these members their decision.

I agree with you, so-called "thank you" poster and post-flooder should not get VIP access.

All members here are not automatically entitled to become VIPs one day, it's a privilege for those who share and/or are helpful (reporting phishers/spammers/rule violations, answer requests etc.).

I confess that I'm also here since a while and if you check
the amount of my posts then you'll see that I'm not really
in a hurry to get up the 300. Also, I'm not the top-uploader
like others here but whenever I'm in the right mood and
have some time and bandwidth to spend then I share a
little bit here and there.

I just thought that everyone gets access to the VIP section
who got more than 300 posts and that's why I was asking.

Thank you for explaining how everything works with the
VIP-thing and how you personally feel about it.

See, I never called myself a MJ fan and to be honest with you,
yes, I was also one of these guys who was laughing balls when
