What's a "video grabber"?
A software which "grabs" a video?

But as I saw gionini's link, I guess you mean a software which
creates "screen caps" of a movie what you can use as a preview
to your uploaded movies, right?

Yes, media-player-classic is an alternative and I've also used it
for a while but wasn't really happy with the results. Too many
damn error messages annoyed the shit out of me. I guess this
got something to do with foreign codecs or movie formats.

Now I'm using a better software to make my previews and I'm
really very pleased with it!
This software scores in many functions as it allows you more
configurating than the media-player-classic. Since now I did
not have any problems with it and there was no format that
it wasn't able to handle. Great choice and it's also "for free".
You could upgrade the software and then it would work faster
like the software-programmer mentions as not disturbing
advert in the programme-interface. But it's no must to spend
money and the programme works even pretty fast as "free
user". Also, you can use it in 6 different languages.

If you're interested then give it a try. Wink
The programme called "Video Thumbnails Maker by Scorp"

You could "google" Video Thumbnails Maker by Scorp what
should bring you to the programmers very own site if you
got luck or you can also use this site directly.
Code:
http://www.suu-design.com

It's their own site so no worry about viruses, trojans or
similar software which nobody wants on his system. Smile
It's all serious and just an advice of mine.

Arrow Here's a result of what the programme gives you:

Idea Many good and respected forumophilia poster use this
software now to make their previews of their movies.

Take care and have fun. Very Happy

Isn't there an addon for firefox available which handles that?
Talking about a flash-grabber and stuff.

If you don't use firefox already then it would be a very safe
and good thing to switch anyway. Only an advice, of course.
