I sometimes browse this awesome forum with my iPod Touch. Thing is, when I do, I feel hobbled. I am limited to certain file types and don't get to experience the forum for everything it has. Now don't get me wrong: I don't expect you to conform for mobile users. I just thought it wouldn't hurt to raise awareness on one of my favorite sites. Here are a few tips on keeping your posts iPhone-friendly:
1. Natively, iPhones can only handle .mov an specially formatted .mp4 movies. With an app called yxflash, it can also handle DIVX .avi files. Keep this in mind. If anything, please state what video-type your links are if it's not already clear.
2. Unless you've paid for the update, iPhones can't handle copy & paste, rendering non-hyperlink URLs useless.
3. Unzipping/unrarring just simply isn't possible on the iPhone. I have to skip over a lot of high-quality posts because of this.
And that's about it for now. Thanks for reading!
