Need software to get the content of a folder listed in .txt

Hello.

I got a problem and it's about this...

A friend of mine wants to know which mp3's I got. I got
my mp3-music sorted in folders like this here:

Soundtracks
Oldies and pop
Hip Hop & rap
R&B
Jazz and Blues
Rock
etc etc etc...

He wants to know all my "Oldies & pop" songs but
the amount of mp3's in this folder is over 1000.

I simply need a software which scans the content
of a folder and lists it in a text-file. It doesn't really
matter in which format (doc, txt, rtf, pdf...) cauz
once the software lists it up, I could copy the text
in another document, that ain't the problem.

Is there any software out which makes this happen
to scan windows-folders to read out content of it?

My OS = Windows XP Professional

Kinda cool but now I got a "trial version" on my system
and the only reason why I use this programme is to list
my mp3 (and other formats if I edit your code) files.
How long can I use the trial?

The trial doesn't expire, you just can't make stand-alone program with it. For that you need to purchase a license.
