OK, I'm thoroughly confused. Jenny Star links, which I posted eons ago, have recently been blocked by RS. Also, some of my files from Mandy Marie (appearing in an AmyAmy thread) were recently blocked (and all the Amys blocked long ago). Some of my Krissy Love sets have been recently blocked, while others (links posted in the same thread) remain active.

Anyone know what the hell is going on?

why don't people use mega much? there are people without rapidshare account, that limit to every 15 minutes for a download. mega, has no larger file size requirement (1 chunk possible), and there is no limit for download, as soon as the current one finishes?

You can whit rapidshare olso upload bigger files lyk on mega.
I uploaded some time ago a file -+800MB. in only 1 rarfile
mrbluesman: I had the same problem. But now that i joos RapidShare Manager instead of rapid uploader are my links fine again.

What is up with Rapidshare?

You wouldn't believe how many times I've asked me this
question on my own lately. Laughing

Those bastards change their shit like model-teens their
underwear, it seems. Annoying? Though. Rolling Eyes

Idea Okay, some help?
I only can repeat myself over and over about this topic.
2 important things you should take care off first
before you upload your stuff on a hoster like RS!

Arrow First thing you should do is to rename the
rar/zip/ace/whatever to a name what gives
no information about what's behind the file.
In other words, nobody should be able to
guess that it's porn in your RAR if he sees
    the rapidshare-link.
Arrow Second thing what makes sense is to set
a password. It doesn't really have to be
an unhackable passphrase what no person
could spell. A simple "mrbluesman" should
be enough for the RS-support team to get
locked out of our dirty little secret.

So that's it! Go and handle it that way.

Just think about that if you upload adult
content, ch1ldren could be able to DL &
watch it. Neither normal people wants
that, nor the RS-team, you know. Wink

Of course, that's no guarantee that your
files don't get reported by some assholes
what would have the effect that they'd get
blocked anyway.
But it will make your upload a quite likely safer.

Sincerely,
Rayden

All of my posts to this forum are:
1) called something inoccuous WNP001.part1.rar and so forth.
2) password protected.
3) uploaded by me
4) posted only here

All of them have been blocked and deleted by rapidshare.
Nothing we can do will stop this; someone here is deliberately reporting either stuff that offends them, or stuff they like but don't want others to enjoy.

Sod all we can do about it, but it is annoying.

I'm sorry to hear that, altontowers. Neutral

I only have meant that you would really push your luck
if you don't follow these simple rules which I've tried to
explain in my post above.

Of course, that files still get deleted got other reasons
then. It's because people report files. Evil or Very Mad
I personally think that it's way too easy for people
to click that report-button on RS. I mean they don't
have to show a proof that the uploaded file is against
the therms of RS. Once the report-button gets pushed,
the RS-team will block any downloads with don't really
caring about if the file is really against any rules/laws.

Also, each internet-user (no matter if registered or not)
is able to see the rapidshare-links. Talking about more
than thousands of people daily who see the links and
this makes the chance that files get reported bigger.

Just try to share your links ONLY in the VIP section
and I'm sure that they'll survive longer.

Idea Maybe one thing I've forgot to mention.
Don't hotlink your DL-links. Use either an anonymizer
like "anonym.to" or put your link in a "code frame"
like this here:
Code:
Here goes the DL-link

So RS can't see where (which site) the links get posted.

Because once a file gets reported and RS sees that
the uploaded file comes from a well known porn-forum,
they don't have to be scientists to know that it's porn in
the RAR file.

It's always difficult to share RS-links on a public source.
You wouldn't have this problem if you'd share the links
only with people you "know/trust", believe me.

I'm on the end of my wisdom. Sad

Sorry for my horrible english and good luck.

Greetz,
Ray

Sorry to hear about your loss, AltonTowers.

I've lost nearly 70+ files altogether during the last few weeks.
But I'm pretty sure, who reported them, they were posted somewhere else, so I don't post anything at this place again.

It's pretty simple to report files, just say, the file violates their (RS) TOS, and it's gone.

Hiding them in code, using link protectors may help to prevent, that stuff is found by bots, but if a webmaster or someone else is searching for stuff, you've no chance.

Creating more than one premium account to spread the risk of loosing the whole stuff, if they delete the account will also help.

Posting in VIP helps, but the dl ratio will drop for sure.

Keep up posting.

I agree 100%, that solution works!

Instead of extending the current account validity date, it's much better to have some spare ones (just in case ...) Wink

Thanks for all the tips. It's crazy, really, the Jenny S links have been up for over 2 years. Who the hell would report them after all this time? And, I still don't know why certain links of a model in a thread have been "frozen" by RS and others are perfectly fine. Oh well, you know, I'll just repost a little at a time.
