hello.

i was wondering if it is possible, to have the ADSL/Modem with the phone line in the back of it going to the wall, and then get a second ADSL/Modem, and use a network cable to go between the 2, and then use the USB cable to link the 2nd one to my pc.

like using a router connected to the Modem, and connecting the router to the pc. but using 2 ADSL/Modems.

Then no.

It doesn't work like that. What you need to do is check if your modem has a network socket on it (most do) and get a small cheap hub, and two network cards. Plug the modem into the hub, and then the two PCs. Tell them they connect via a LAN and off you go.

It's how mine is set up.

The hub should be from £10 on up, and you will need two CAT5 cables (or three if your modem card doesn't come with one.)

i'm a little confused by your post... why not just get a cheap router? there really shouldn't be any need for more than 1 modem... can you even use two modems at once with just one internet subscription?
