Pic-hosting.com now a spam site

Pic-hosting.com has practically turned into a spam site that tries to load several viruses/malware on the machine. I've had AVG trip on me when I click on one of the pictures that is being hosted there. This is just to let you guys know what I have been running into.

oh, great. i recently moved all of my pics from subefotos.com, which no one will review for approval, over to pics-hosting because it allows hot-linking to the full size pic. filecloud is gone now as well. what is left for hot-linking preview images without having to use annoying thumbnails?

I use "pics-hosting" 20 times a day (only with direct links), and never had an ad.
Even with thumbnails I've never seen a spam.
No problems on my side.

Pics-hosting.com is apparently a problem for IE user (attachment made by humlan, I myself have no problems with FFX).

No it's when I go to click on pictures that are being hosted on that site. I get the exact same thing that Monkey gets under IE. My Anti-Virus software, AVG had tripped on several possible viruses/malware.

I would never use pics-hosting for thumbnails (there are much better sites), too much ads (if you don't have an adblocker) but it's service is very reliable for hotlinking (big) images, so please don't bann it (and if you have to, please still allow hotlinking with this service).
And btw, i sometimes clicked on pics-hosting thumbs but never had any malware/virus trouble, only the ads were annoying.

If you are annoying with ads, use Firefox + addon AdBlockPlus. Maybe your AVG pops up when an ad appears but it's a flase-positive.

Make a search on Google, http://www.google.fr/search?q=pics-hosting.com, the website is not flagged as dangerous site.

So stop being alarming for nothing.

I use pics-hosting.com since july 2008 and this host works great.
I have never seen the site down or slow.
I post pics with hotlink and thumbnails on differents boards and I've never had a complaint about this host (trojan or virus).
A layer-ad is present for guest visitor but imho it's better than the intermission-ad on imagevenue for example, you can immediately close the ad or block with adblockplus.

So no problem with pics-hosting, a good host
