Hi.
Nice collection which you have there, sir.
I have many of them, too.
But I can't believe my eyes that you don't
have the three parts of "
EVIL DEAD".
It's a must for every horror-fan, in my opinion.
Okay, the third part isn't really scary because
it's more a comedy but it points with nice gore
scenes.
The first part is the best and illegal to own in
some countries and if they have this flick, it's
totally cut. It's hard to get the uncut version.
Second part is a mix of the other 2 parts. A
lil bit scary and sometimes it's funny.
I might have to say that the movies are a
little bit older, though. So don't expect too
many real looking special_effects.
But the story is just great, pretty scary!
My totally favorite horror_flick is "
Phenomena".
It's a "Dario Argento" movie starring "Jennifer
Connelly" produced in the swiss. It's a very
rare movie and pretty hard to get as it's an
old movie.
All the versions from the states are cut but
mine is uncut.
Another one which is kinda scary is "
hide and seek"
with "robert de niro" and "dakota fanning".
Well, it's not really a horror-movie but it's
scary in a different kind. It's the craziness
just like "jack nicholson" of shining what
let's the blood in your veins freeze.
I personally liked it much.
"Stephen King" is also a genius if it comes to
scary stories. The movie "pet cemetery" gave
me many sleepless nights when I was about
9 years old.
Just keep in mind that it's not always the
movie with the most blood and gore-scenes
what's scary. A good story can shock you
more sometimes than pictures, though.
Well, I could really go on and on with listing up
nice horror movies as it's a hobby of mine but
I don't want to overreact. I've about 900 DvDs,
all bought, no copies. It's a hobby to collect
those movies and 20% of them are horror.
By the way,
no other country can tell a scary ghost-story
better than the japanese and chinese. Sure,
they don't look that impressive as the so
called "hollywood" stuff but alone the story
is so scary that it would be enough to just
read it in a book.
Okay, enough talked as far for now. I'm
close to write a book up in here.
Cheers,
Rayden
