Was I banned?

Okay, this is the second time this has happened to me in as many years. I just recently stumbled across this board after not only not being able to log in, but not being able to find it for several months. At first I attributed it to server problems, not the case. During these times I get the invalid address message pop right up. Eventually I dump the link out of my favs and go on with my happy life, then after months of forgetting the board even existed, boom I hit a link from another board leading me right back here.
Since everything else works right everywhere else and I never seem to lose other site access anywhere, and even a web search will not bring me back here on search links, and when I come back there are plenty of posts indicating that you have not been down, I have to assume that an IP block is being placed on me from here.
If so why?
If not then what else is it?

Hmmm - can't answer that but I will refer it to the Admins.

I have had similar issues elsewhere in the past and these things can happen.

Between October 2008 and thrue February 2009, ruffly, we have had a server problem causing frequent errors 502 Bad gateway and 504 Gateway timeout.
During that period it was really a hit or miss if you where able to acces the forum and if you where, you might wasn't able to post anything.
I also experienced at the worst of times the browser returned an error that I had misstyped the address or something since the site where not to be found.
One of our moderators reported still having difficulties to acces the forum in all parts after the errors where fixed.
Turned out to be a reinstallation of the Firefox browser since IE worked.
There are no other known reasons why you should have or have had problems to acces the forum.

Well thank you both for your kind replies, Looks like my first thoughts were right to begin with and it was a server problem after all. Thank you Svinto.
Not to worry Dillagaf, I am uploading as I write this, trying not to step on toes as all you know, lol. Finding original stuff is hard as you know, so I thought I would stick to some really old stuff for awhile that either hasn't been posted for a long time or possibly never.
