Dopo un lavoro, negli anni sessanta, come hostess sugli aerei di linea, abbandonato dopo il matrimonio col giornalista televisivo Paolo Frajese e la nascita di due figli, iniziò la carriera artistica nei primi anni settanta come fotomodella, per approdare al cinema in ruoli secondari.Le successive esperienze la videro impegnata nel cinema soft e, nel 1976, girò una sequenza hard destinata al mercato estero nel film Emanuelle in America, per la regia di Joe D'Amato.Sempre per il regista romano, nel 1979 è la protagonista, con Enzo Fisichella, di quella che viene ritenuta la prima scena hard destinata al mercato italiano, nel film Immagini di un convento. La pellicola ottiene un grande successo, anche alimentato dallo scandalo d'essere interpretata dalla ex moglie di uno dei più noti giornalisti televisivi della Rai.
