Account hijacked ??

I am "thebaba"

And I think that my account have been hijacked !!!

I can't login under the name of "thebaba", password and email have been changed

The last post I've maked have been edited to put a phisher link instead

I've just pm svinto, but what happened ???

Phished by a bad rapid link?... ALWAYS LOG IN ON THE SECURE LINK !

Go to the premium login on the rapidshare home page to prevent this from happening again when promped for a login.

No dude, my fp account with around 600 post...

I've just received a pm by svinto and he changed my email, hopefully this situation is nearly over.

I'm sorry to hear that Baba but glad that it seems like it's getting fixed. I've come across a ton of posts by you, the board wouldn't be the same without thebaba.

I still don't know what happened, I have an AV, firewall, anti-spyware...

Probably not at your end - chances are they guessed your password. They can then log in, and they are you. Most are pretty easy to work out, or just try a password generator on. I have no idea how this BB software handles such attempts, nor do I wish to know.

Banned you old account and checked it.

There are five postings where the links were edited to that "jassica_take.rar".

We of the staff have seen some long-standing members with few postings the last week where this file (contains an exe) was posted.

You're the first very active one who's account was phished.

We are now investigating how it happened.

There was a major phishig attempt of Forumophilia accounts last year, when a group of phishers created fake board sites and lured members with pms to them.

After the account was hijacked they started posting their phishing links.

But this one seems different.

MDR: so this account could not be cleaned up and "given" back to use again by it's creator "thebaba"? what a shame 600+ posts gone...
thebaba: very curious just how secure your old pass was as in how unique it was...can you post what it was now that it's no good or even just PM me. I wonder if I should upgrade (change) mine...

As soon as svinto reset the pass and send the email to baba, he could use his old nick again.

The ban can be removed very easily.

I banned it to prevent more changes and/or postings by this hijacker.
