help please

I deleted the files that run my burner, yes dumb I know , can some one help? its XP burner files that I need.

Give us more clues, which files?, drivers?, what burner brand?

Couldn't you just unplug it - plug back in... winxp will find 'new hardware' and reinstall it for you....

I have Windows XP Pro, I've searched for them, but it would be easier if you tell me where to look.

I've found a system file called cdrom.sys located in "C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers", maybe is what you are looking for.

I made another search but I didn't find anything else.

delete the burner in your hardware manager, restart and see if windows redetects the thing and installs all the drivers. that should be it really.

Or you could also just go to the manufacturers web site and download the drivers for your hardware from there hope this helps.
