Coeds - translation, please

Hi guys!

Can anyone give a good description/translation for the word "coed"?

As I am not a native English speaker I can only guess. But I think it is somebody doing an internship while studying.

I think Monica Lewinsky was a coed.

"coed" is supposed to describe something that's open to both sexes, such as a coed locker room (I wish), or a coed pool. Its come to be used to refer to a female attending classes at a coed college or university however.

Well, I have seen so many websites now, "Dirty Teen Coeds" and such... I thought it had some teen-relation...

Well, "coed" definitely means Men and Women together. It must have some other meaning when concerning "schoolastics..."

Oh, and college students don't do most of their thinking "in their pants".
