A Wiki for porn models? What do you think?

I'm sure i'm not the only one that has hundreds of gigs of porn, that is 75% or more taken up by like 10 or 15 of my favourite models, and just a tiddling of other models.

I'm sure i'm not the only one who has said .. .DANG i wonder if she ever did sets or movies for other sites.

I've been working on a rather simple idea for the past few days, and have a beta (or maybe just alpha) stage framework to build on.

I cannot be sure that this link will work yet, so if it doesn't let me know.

It's a wiki, but not like the few others that are out there, which are more controlled by sponsors.
This has but one intent....

The framework i've set up has a few basics, most pages not created yet, but I have taken one of my favourite models (Nastya18) and followed her right thru the way i hope to set it up.

Essentially the main page is a welcome, I've written some crap there, but just ignore it for the most part.

Click on "Content Providers"
It'll pull up a list of sites that provide content...
NOT TGP's not Forums, etc, This site is not aimed at "distributing" porn, just a reference piece for porn addicts like us.

From the content providers pick Nastya18
This page will give an overview of the site.
then pick her model page M00001
This page will give a list of all sites that contained her material.
I actually hope that this page will also make a listing of "sets" and "vids" done by the model for each site.

I am fully aware it all needs jazzing up, but before i put hundreds of hours of work into it, i'd like to throw the concept out to the kinda people who are likely to use it, and i can't imagine a site that has more such users that this one.

Heck, i'm sure if each person who visited it, did their 1 or 2 favourite models, it would fill up quite quick.

If there are already sites like it out there that list more than just like 20 or 30 sites's worth of models, let me know so i don't waste my time.

One other thing, I'm aiming this mainly at amateur porn and models, and companies that are primarily internet based, NOT Professional Porn Stars.
I know some do both, but i'll figure out how to deal with that later.

I wondered why there was no such wiki out there, untill I realized the vast vast vast amount of models out there and how many different names they go by. Actually very few (from what i can tell) use the same name in all their work. So there's the first barrier.

The second is mistaking one model for another, which in turn will create misinformation.

HOWEVER should you or anyone else attempt to undertake this enormous project I condone it wholeheartedly and will support it anyway I can.


Edit: Something like this used to exist, it was called Peachy-something-something but it was abandonned asaik...

The vast number of models out there is the main reason I wanna see the response from others.
It would take a LOT of work, of that there's no doubt.

But, If it did exist already, i know i'd use it, Hopefully i get a few more comments on it. I know there are a reasonable number of webmasters that surf this forum too, so input from them, and those that know people that run content providing sites, i'd love to hear, so I could know if I would meet support or resistance from sites, mainly the big ones.

as a bit of trivia... only model i know of that worked for at least 4 sites that used the same name all the time was Kimberly from Nubiles, SE, et al. I'm sure there's more, but I can't think of any.
The worst thing is that on sites like MET art/models a single model can have several names on just one site (ie, Eva F aka Anna C) And even on companies that run multiple websites with lots of model cross over, each can have several names.
But if all got together the way I envision it, a model's page would look like this:

Site 1:
as Name 1:
Name of set 1
....
Name of set x

as Name 2:
Name of set 1
....
Name of set x

Site 2:
as Name
Name of set 1
.....

with each site name linking back to the site's page and model list.

And... if site owners requested it, i could have the [name of set x] direct to any sample pics that they have published.
However, at present my aim is to obtain 1 nn pic (or face close up) of each model... I still have to look into copyrights on that.

The idea about models getting mixed up with each other gave me an idea that i should include in each model's page a small section such as "Often Confused with" as well as the intended "If you like this model, check out these"

Okay, spent today working more on the layout and such.
And just spent like 2 hours just listing the models of one site alone (granted it was Nubiles.net -- 554 models) Nicely they have on their main site a complete list of models featured though. But that didn't include making a model page for each model, just a link to an empty page

So, my request...

If anyone out there has a complete model list of any sites, please PM me or make it a txt file and attach to a reply on this thread.

Also, if you have favourite models, and have put together lists of what sites they've modelled for, that too would be great, same thing, PM or attach txt file (if such attachments are within the rules of the board)

also eurobabeindex and some other sites have decent directories but a lot of work could be done, thx for the effort

A community based wiki would be ideal for cataloging the performers out there. This would be great for identifying women who are located in other countries and vintage clips as well.

There will be plenty of spammers and careful editing would be needed to maintain quality.

One other issue is that some clips come from a content provider, which then gets distributed to various paysites. So you can have identical clips that have multiple "site" sources.

Thus far the best sites I've seen are eurobabeindex, drhardcore, and peachyforum for identifying women.

I just guess on Wikipedia on occasion. But I could've sworn I saw a wiki site months ago that was dedicated solely to pornstars.

I've been having some problems getting it live, I thought at first it was related to the lack of registering a domain, but I am now pretty sure it has to do with either Window's firewall, or one that apparently is included in my modem.

The firewall lets "me" access it on this computer, but no one else...

The thing that boggles me, is that i can access it from this computer even with a proxy, but not from another computer

I've changed some settings, so if anyone has a chance to see if it's live now, i'd appreciate knowing.

Comments were made on a babeindex site, but that site is one i for the most part HATE.... It's not the fact that they don't have anything on 9 of my top 10 models, (Avril A being the only one they list) it's how they only give you aliases, but not which aliases were used on which site. They also tend to be very "art-set" oriented. Heck they have only like 8 models listed for youngporn.net, yet, i think they have nearly every model listed for Metart. And lastly, my goal is to ignore for the most part Professional Porn stars, Though if people want to add the info, they can.

Anyways, i haven't done much on it in the past 2 or 3 days, been too busy removing some trojans i got hit with, from a CNET download to boot, so fyi, don't download "MyTorrentDownloader"
But i'm all fixed now, so it's back to work on it.

I'm sure some webmasters will dislike the idea. A lot of non-nude site owners get really upset when it comes out that their girls have done nude/hardcore in the past!

NN sites are something that i've not 100% decided on how/if to deal with. under 18's specifically in the NN genre tend to face so vastly different laws the world around. Even the definition of non-nude can be uh... arguable.
I'll likely be very careful with those types of sites until i speak with some lawyer about it... Gotta follow Canadian Law.. *sigh*.. ya know the net should have it's own laws.... but... enforcement might just be tricky
