Question to all uploaders at forumophilia:
How many downloads do you get for your uploaded videofiles on average? What are the top numbers?

My experience: For video files I uploaded 9 months ago I got about 2.000 - 4.000 downloads per uploaded file until now. The optimum value is 22.434 downloads for a single file (see pic below).

My most popular one is the first Figurebaby I posted. It's at 482. The 3D sets I've been posting in the anime section average around a couple of dozen downloads each.

Impressive numbers, very impressive numbers! Mine average out around 130 downloads per file, the most downloaded clip was about 15,000. But that was at a time when your downloads lasted forever.
I recently had over 960 uploads and watched it drop to 797 right now. Evil or Very Mad

I have second thoughts that the RS counter works reliable.

I noticed this curious thing too and I thought it has something to do with the fact that some of my links are widely spread in other forums (but not by me). Somebody unknown posts my links! Whe I google my nick or my password I find my rs-links and even my screencaps in forums I never knew. Okay this may raise the number of my rs-points but on the other hand it may enhance the risk that my files become deleted by rs.

If you see an unnormal increase of downloads, this mostly comes from some repostig of your links in other forums.
If you have *.part1: 200 dls and *.part2: 8567 dls then i'm sure someone used a download manager. For some reasons (maybe harddisk space or bandwith limitations) the manager tried to download the same file over and over again.
I saw this several times in my account but i didn't have a proprtional increase of RS-points (RS points: only when the file or the part of the file is bigger than 3Mb and the downloader hasn't generated more than 3 points in the last hour)
So in the case above i would say that part2 only has about 200 "real" downloads.
But it looks nice Wink
