Recently I learned that all the files my husband and I uploaded to his Walagata account have been deleted. (See attached pic) It says they only deleted a few, but everything is gone, and I cannot upload anything to that host.

Also, I cannot upload anything to RS...nothing at all. It starts out okay, but then goes to NaN..whatever that means. Is this just a coincidence, or is there something going on that I should/need to be concerned about?

YLL,
see my response to the RS "NaN% in the your LL thread.
As to Walgata, my guess is Walgata finds it easier to delete all your stuff to be "on the safe side". I doubt they complained about the AV pic for example.
It's still alive in the PM; >>screenshotI just used a site that didn't even require registration and mine has been going strong for months now.
I didn't find that email very threatening at all either, sounded pretty routine.

Received this today from Walagata...

"I have refunded your most recent membership payment, so you will not have to worry about opening a PayPal dispute. It is nothing personal, but I will not be able to support your account in the future. I was starting to receive a plethora of copyright infringement cases against my account every day from different adult websites, all of which were attached to the files in your account. It seems like wherever you are posting images at, they have employees who lurk there and hunt for any images which they might own and try to shut them down as soon as possible.

I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause for you, and best of luck to you in the future."

Tom

So it seems I have ROYALLY pissed someone off here. I shall just move on to another FREE host, and continue Very Happy

Hi YLL.

Wow, a lot of probs with walagata Smile

I think we can take them off the list of allowed image hosters.

Regarding your RS upload problem:
RS create MD5 Hash sums for every uploaded file.
As soon as RS blacklists a file it also blacklists the MD5 control sum of the file, means renaming the file doesn't help.

If you want to know more about MD5 Hash:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MD5_Hash

In short, they create a checksum of each data file to identify it and if it was deleted (e.g. due to copyright infringement, adult content etc.) they won't allow to upload the same file again (their server compare the checksum and if it's the same, no upload).

Sure at the beginning upload works fine, but you'll never get the links.

There are different solutions to edit the checksum.

I'll post a guide (not mine Wink) how to fool RS without creating new rars.

Sounds like a good idea to me! Actually, ever since I was shown how to upload directly into thread, I don't see the need for an outside host anymore.

I have been able to upload a few things to RS within the past couple days, but mostly .txt files, and a couple small video clips. Other than that, I know that changing the title doesn't work, but adding a small text file to the RAR to change the size does. However, if I am attempting to upload anything greater than like 20MB, it won't take...no matter WHAT it is. I shall be looking forward to the guide, but I think it's between me, RS and my ISP Very Happy (I mean Sad )

hey guys Im a nobody here just wanted to put my two cents in...

why dont you admin and mods here somehow upload the content for her??
I think YoungLatinaLuvr should really refrain from uploading these files repeatedly before she is indicted for copyright infringement...

Heed the warnings is all i can say...

peace

Thank You Very Much Though, these girls are Gems!!!
But you are a brighter Gem, I wish you the best in what your going through!

I'm a nobody also, but my first thought when I read your post:
They don't have the time to upload for everybody..

Also, I've seen a lot of people's work get deleted (mine included), and nobody was indicted to my knowledge..

Its part of the problem for being a very visible site, you get these types of problems..

Why is it that I am just now reading this? Confused

Thank you for your response, but I do not expect the admins or mods to do any work for me...although I can appreciate your suggestion, and the reason for it.

I thank you for your kind words...especially that last part Very Happy

I've not had to do this, but packaging a pic,a notepad or another small file with the original is a workaround for checksum issues...hope this helps
