Pas d'imperfection notable ' relever au niveau de l'image, donc, ' l'exception de l'un des nombreux stock-shots animaliers parsemant le film o' l'on peut remarquer quelques lignes noires traversant l'image verticalement.
C'est donc une tr's bonne surprise, comme pour "Dany...", que de pouvoir d'couvrir cette autre raret' du cin'aste dans une version tout ' fait satisfaisante.
A noter que l''diteur propose les deux versions du film, l'une 'rotique, l'autre hard. Tant qu'' faire, autant regarder cette derni're, qui permet surtout de profiter d'une tr's belle sc'ne saphique entre Tania Busselier et Catherine Tailleferre.
Le bonus, quant ' lui, se pr'sente sous la forme d'un livret de 24 pages en couleurs r'alis' par Christophe Bier. On y trouve, dans l'ordre, une biographie de Willy Rozier, un topo sur le d'ferlement du porno en 1975, la relation du metteur en sc'ne avec le continent africain, et aussi une biographie des acteurs principaux de "Dora..." (certains seconds r'les sont aussi 'voqu's). Enfin, une filmographie de Willy Rozier cl'ture ce livret fort instructif, qui permet notamment de comprendre pourquoi ce film a vu le jour. Si Dora... la fr'n'sie du plaisir s'av're moins r'ussi que Dany la ravageuse, il a n'anmoins sa place dans cette collection consacr'e ' "L''rotisme ' la fran'aise", et l'on esp're que Bach Films sortira d's que possible d'autres perles du m'me genre.

Of course being a 70's porn movie, the plot is additional to the explicit sex scenes, but manager Armond Weston who also had written the script, directs both the plot which has many views from the point of view of the personal eye(just like LADY IN THE LAKE) with flashbacks and the many sex scenes in a really artsy film noir manner that produces this movie in my viewpoint,an quite best adult movie for partners and not only for horny males.
It takes a hard cop ... to solve a hard case!

Description: Cutie Dianne Galke (a one-shot wonder reminiscent of THE CHEERLEADERS' Stephanie Fondue) stars as Maria, a young nymphomaniac shut away in a mental hospital run by shady Dr. George (porn's "Joe Schmoe" John Seeman) and his staff of beautiful lesbian nurses. Maria finds every opportunity to indulge in sexual shenanigans with the nurses, but each one she beds dies a horrible death! And every night she wanders from her room, she falls into a dreamlike netherworld of Satanists, orgies and bloodletting! What does Dr. George plan to do with her young nubile body, and how can she escape her fate?
Seems a bit of a mystery, some reviews give his name as 'Michael Hugo'. Interesting though Ecco magazine claimed it was actually a Michel Hugo, rather than Michael, who directed the film not long after acting as the cameraman on 'Ode to Billy Joe' (Ecco claimed to have received this info from Hardgore actor John Seeman). Hugo went on to be the regular cameraman on the soap Dynasty, even directing a few episode as well.
Another strange rumor that seems to have attached itself to the film, is that it was anonymously financed by a group of psychiatrists for the purposes of testing audiences reaction to scenes of extreme sex and violence a la A Clockwork Orange.

Description: Two old ladies write a book of sexy memoirs and ask an engineer to pose as the author. The book concerns the noble inhabitants of a certain mansion. The trouble is that the present count, the cousin of the old count was and is a very puritanical and intolerant person. What he doesn't know is that his unmarried aunts (?) wrote the scandalous but true recollections of the goings on in the past involving themselves, the old count and others. The comedy of the above is intersprersed with hard core scenes (flashbacks) from the book - edged in soft focus.
