Found this topic from a link in the one making fun of TripleX for supposedly making worthless posts to try to get 300 for the reward, and the irony made me giggle and all, but after reading the topic, I'd like to address a few points:
1) The first post in this topic seems to be about spammers, which normally I would assume would be referring to those who spam up the forums with advertising/crap links to mislabeled galleries, etc., which I've noticed a problem with here at times.
It's definitely an issue, and annoying, and people should get the smackdown for it by having their posting rights disabled for awhile or just a ban or whatever if they're chronic offenders.
2) The problem with certain people making exceedingly numerous "worthless" posts is certainly an annoyance, but people should just report them to a moderator and they should be told to stop and reminded that when they reach their goal, they'll be looked into and they won't get the reward if it's discovered that they posted a bunch of crap just to get to 300.
So, while somewhat annoying, this seems like basically a non-issue.
3) As far as I can tell, there haven't been any issues with the owner of this forum not being able to afford all the bandwidth being used or anything, and I haven't seen any posts by the owner complaining about "leechers", so it would seem that's really a non-issue as well, except with certain people who apparently think they should be able to tell others how they can use the forum, so I'm with Ralphamore on that and think those people need to give it a rest already and just forget about it and mind their own business.
I guess my question would be, why do you care how others use the forum, especially if the owner doesn't have a problem with it?
There's already far too much porn at this forum for me to ever hope to look at, so I fail to see why it needs more activity at all, much less from every member, as often as possible.
And some of us have more important things to do with our lives than even visit this forum once every 30 days, even to download a few files or make a couple comments, much less spend God knows how long uploading and posting tons of pics or vids.
So, honestly, getting back to the title of this topic, I think it's also "so sad" that some people are putting so much effort into finding and sharing porn or even just visiting this forum frequently, but also that they have a problem with those of us who don't, and want to descriminate against us for it.
There's no justification whatsoever for requiring posting every 30 days or 60 days or 365 days.
If you want to login every day and post lots of files or links, that's great, but if you're somehow not getting enough porn here, it should be easy enough to find more somewhere else instead of taking it out on the rest of us with unrealistic and unnecessary complaints and suggestions.
4) I guess I was lucky enough to miss out on MisterMandingo's "scary" and "repulsive" pics aimed at driving away the leechers or whatever, which seems rather inappropriate, but I'm currently having to deal with his absurdly and inconsiderately large filesize animated sig and avatar lagging the hell out my forum viewing experience, especially if I have other things going on in the background, which I generally do, and especially on pages where he's posted multiple times.
1.5mb for a sig is absolutely rediculous.
Hell, 0.5mb is still well beyond rediculous.
So is 75k for an avatar, really, but it's not nearly as bad.
Most forums I'm a member at or have ever been a member at have limits of 25-100kb for sigs, which is more than sufficient, and 5-25kb for avatars.
There shouldn't need to be rules about such things, as people should just be more thoughtful and realize that not everyone has a T1 connection or something and the latest CPU and graphics hardware.
I'll go back to giggling about people trying to reach the 300 limit now.
