are owned and run by the same people??

could this be true , that this forum is set up as a means to gather info, details and the ip address of potential copyright infringers?

I did verify that the two links that the OP posted does in fact point to the same owner. If this is the case, I wonder why.

I beginning to wonder if our data is truly being collected.

have they realised that the skeleton is out of the closet and the dark secret forumophilia.com has been harbouring for so long, is now well and truly public??

its not the casual poster they are after,

they want to weed out the people who have subcriptions to these pay sites, and then post the contents they have payed for here!!

they want the ips of these posters , so they can cross reference these ips with the ips of the members of there sites giving them reason to cancel there subscriptions!!!

Except that I have been posting here for years and have NEVER had a subscription cancelled that I didn't cancel myself.

As dj-spin says: if what you say is true then Forumophilia is a spectacularly inefficient mechanism in the fight against piracy.

and to make life easier, why not, like they have done, implement a strict set of rules into which filehost can be used, to make are work even easier!!!

From the look of what little was there, as the website wasn't up for very long, it looks like it was supposed to be some sort of content removal service but the site was only up for a short time and most of it wasn't even finished. I guess they gave up on the idea fairly quickly when they found out that other people were already doing the same thing and doing it well.

Most likely it is someone who want to make trouble.
Probably my fault for having POd a lot of people in the past year.
People who have threathen they could cause a lot off trouble for the forum.

This forum was started way before any link deletions started.
Furthermore it is just a part of a paysite.

The accusation made here just doesn't make sence.

So am I correct in thinking - the claim is this whole site is some sort of sting operation. Never heard so much rubbish!

I think if it was true someone with more than a couple of posts could say "yep I've been effected" all we have is some posts we connections that could be fake for all I know.

If this forum is part of a super secret plot by the freemasons to amass all of our information before suing us then I must say they are taking their sweet time in doing so. Regrettably, I must insist that far flung conspiracies secretly entrapping hundreds of thousands of online users for the benefit of the Illuminati speed things up a bit. I know that it is asking a lot of the super secret squirrel overlords luring us into a trap to advance their nefarious plans but quite frankly if I'm going to be sent to prison I'd like to have it happen before Christmas so I can get out of spending quality time with the family.

the reason is this why!, if you was a paying member of mpl studios, and you then posted a set from there site in the thread entiled mpl stuidos sets! you will then shorlty have your subscription cancelled, and informed the reason was becuase of a file sharing violation,
