I tried today to DL a file and RS told me I have exceeded my 10 gig per day limit.
This was the first file today.
I checked the premium log file and I am way under the limit for the last week.

I sent them an email.

Anyone else have this problem?

Edit: Problem went away. RS did not email me back.

They seem to have glitches that only last a few hours or a day with their database. It was telling me one time I was already downloading a file when I wasn't.

Well it could be worse. They must handle a lot of data.
They did send me a form letter/email the following Monday.
I thanked them for their form letter sarcastically Smile

You got a response? I love RS and can't stand any of the other hosters, but the RS customer service is the worst of any business I have ever encountered in my life. I have never gotten a single response to several different emails over the years.

I had a response once. It wasn't any use, and a few days after the problem was reported, but it was a response. Their customer service isn't good, but it is definately better than some, particularly in the computer sales field.

Hello support,

"Error

You have exceeded the download limit.

but the premium log file shows:

I have NOT exceeded the DL limit.
In fact, I have downloaded nothing today.

Hello RapidShare,

Thank you for your completely impersonal email to me.
I doubt that you even read the data I included.
I first used Rapget and then used Firefox directly.
That's when I got the error message I could read and provide to you.
The problem went away by itself in a few hours.

I have been a Premium user for over 4 years. This is the first time I
had this problem.

In the log is an IP list. If someone else used my login data it would show up as a different IP.

If I hacked someones login details the first thing I would do is change the password to lock everyone else out.

I'll go with the glitch theory Smile
