Is he serious? I hope not. But if so, I would not be really surprised. There are so many posts from spammers. Particularly those from first timers who post nothing but crap links and of course those who never post anything else. Also in the same category, the shills promoting a particular site. Also it seems that half or more of the posts are now image cash.

I consider myself a relative newbie and in my short time here I have come to appreciate the efforts put in by the serious posters here, some of whom have made comments above.

Cos - you have really earned your place as one of the stars and deserve your rewards. I hope you stay around - you will be a great loss if you go. Stick with it and hopefully some changes will be made to bring this place back to what it should be.

I think GS needs to re-assess and share the running of this forum a bit more, like he has done to Markus. There are over 18,000 members here and only 3 moderators covering everything.

Issue of the rewards should be done by concensus by the moderators (similar to the acknowledgement given to Lisa who deserved an early reward of her efforts), not just by reaching the magic numbers.

And more control needs to be taken against the spammers. First time a warning, second time a ban.

but alas I have to agree with Cos on this one,(damn I hate agreeing with people) the place has turned into a spammers dream and most of the newbies are one picture or two posters. dont get me wrong there are some fine newbies out there as well, hey mistermandingo,hey misfitt, hey fantailedalibi, some nice posts dude, though no "rock bitch"...lol....it seems that everyone whats something for nothing and this site has turned into exactly that.

come on, the board has been in a slow decline for a long time and unless people get their act together it wiil turn into nothing more than a pretty tpg.
I have to admit that I would spend a couple of hours here a day, now I only drop back every other day and then there is nothing much to see.
i hope it dosent come to the time where I get up and just decide to delete the link from my favorites folder, but I can see it coming

Darkstar, I agree with everything you say here, but part of the problem, in my humble opinion, is the welcome that newbies get here. I came along a few weeks ago offering all I had and asking nothing in return. All I got for my troubles was a shitstorm from people who are now quiet about all thats been happening to their forum lately.
I think people tend to forget that once upon a time they were also new.
I have tried, whenever posting, to always include some pix. Even on the receiving end of crap, because I thought that was what these boards were for. Sharing.
Unfortunately, as far as I can see they are mostly used by people who just want to run up numbers and become"vip"members by simply posting single word replies or questions to any and all subjects.
When long time and steady posters go from boards it hands them over to the idiots, so if you are one of the former why not stick with it and help to take it back again. SWAMP THE BASTARDS WITH PICTURES. Here's a start, I'll post more every day until I run out and then begin again. Should take about a year I reckon.
