My Pet Peeves

Well, I can only take so much before I feel like screaming. Four things drive me crazy about this board and forums in general. I need to vent, so I apologize in advance.

First, how many times in a NN thread are people going to write things like, "Great girl, does she show any?" Or, "Great, does she show any [insert female body part]?" I appreciate that many men in here wants to see pics of pussy and breasts, but, ya know, its a NN thread. For obvious reasons, you're not going to see pics of the girl nude because then it wouldn't be a non-nude thread.

Second, invariably, once a day, I come across a post where someone is telling the person who posted the pics something like, "This belongs in the NN thread." Or, "This is better classified as [insert appropriate area of the board]." Uh, who cares? If anyone should, it's the Mods and I would think that they would move the thread to a more appropriate area. Why this drives other members crazy is beyond me. If you see a NN girl, for example, in an area you don't think she belongs, don't look at the thread. I mean, really, who the hell cares enough to continue to make a point out of it.

Third, again, almost daily, someone will post that they have sets or videos of a particular girl and will post them if other people post pics or videos of some model that person wants. For example, "I've got Andi Pink's [name the set or video] and will post it if someone out there posts [insert any model and video or set]." So, in other words, the poster will only share his stuff if others post what he wants. WTF, how about posting this stuff because this is a sharing forum. How much stuff have we all downloaded due the generosity of others. I post a lot, but, I also download a lot. When I post stuff, I don't expect anything in return.

Finally, and maybe this has to do with the impersonal nature of the internet. Very few people bother to say a simple "Thanks" to someone who has posted a ton of material. On some of my posts, I've had well over a 1,000 downloads and about 5 people have bothered to say thanks. Some of the posters in here (not me) post tons of material. I always try to say thanks because I genuinely appreciate their sharing and work. Of course, the flip side to this is people who say things like, "Not enough of you are saying 'thanks' so I'm not posting anymore of [insert appropriate model's name]." This is equally offensive to me because while we all need to be told "good job" every now and then, that shouldn't be the reason you post.

First one, i the NN section there is a Only Melanie thread and a Kristi Kitty thread, both have never been NN and are clearly nude as well as several NN that do mega-slips or go nude. So this one I gotta give to the 'does she show' dudes do to mis-posting. But i agree the question is dumb in itself... download the set and check it, go to the web site and check it [I often do this before pulling a large post].

2 - Yep.... wrong place [too late to move], a pm to a mod is the way to go although I am guilty of this exact infraction in the melanie thread [::slapping myself::]

3 - Yep, Yep, Yep..... post or get off the pot. Not a trading forum here. There are ways, post the first couple sets and lightly hint that you might be able to locate more, but even that often backfires.... if you're that desperate for something then join the site. I join sites that I like, 2 or 3 a month.

D - Nature of the business. Sometimes they have got PM's from mods on other forums giving them shit for just saying THX, sometimes uploders don't want the thread clogged but is it really that hard to say... nice elbows, thx for the upload....

IMHO part of the problem is that the bar is set so low for VIP access that they have had to actually put it into the rules that thanks posts are not appreciated. My philosophy is different. I don't thank posters for posting stuff that has already been posted (trying to get RS points by taking them away from someone who already made the effort to post the same content is not cool in my book), but I would say that approximately 1/3 to 1/2 of my posts have been thank yous to other posters. Of course, since I have not posted 300 or 500 posts of content, I don't consider myself worthy of VIP access, so I have never requested it. But when you have such a low threshold (300) and frown upon thank yous, it does discourage occasional posters from posting. When one makes an unusual effort but gets little or no response, one is more likely to become a leecher instead of a contributor.

I do believe a lack of thanks is discouraging.... I used to post under a different pseudonymn a while back, and was way up in post-counts/ access, but I eventually became frustrated and left the board for a long while. Doesn't seem like much has changed, you can make a thread with 60 some posts of material and get maybe a couple of responses. Se la vie... good thread! Thanks!

I think on the NN issue where people ask for nudes it can sometimes be a bit complicated. For instance quite a few NN models have "slips" so someone asking about those probably isn't out of line. As an example in the Zlata thread folks often ask about the most revealing set she's done and are steered to the one see through set. Or some girls have primarily been NN but have ventured into more explicit modelling and I can see putting the new nude work in with their NN work just to keep everything tidy (A good example of this would be excellent Katie's-world cam show thread by Pistolsatdawn).

Now... having said that... Yeah, most of the time it's someone in an NN thread complaining that a NN model hasn't shown the goods and that can get a bit annoying. Personally, yes, I'm a fan of the nudity. But I do enjoy the NN threads because a lot of the girls there are quite lovely. Complaining about the NN nature of the posts is a lot like going into a Asian themed set and complaining that the models aren't blue eyed, blond haired California surf girls.

In the end, if you want Apple Jacks, buy Apple Jacks, and if you want Apple Jacks, but you buy Captain Crunch... don't complain.

On a site I frequent, not this one it should be noted, I've noticed a trend among the folks commenting on certain types of videos being posted. The videos in question are invariable of the rough sex variety, the gagging, slapping and spitting kind. While these videos aren't really my big thing I do take a gander at the screens for them because you never can tell when you will run across a hidden gem.

But glancing at them means that I also get to glance at the comments and of late I've grown more and more annoyed about a certain trend. The always popular... "These guys are punks for doing this to these poor girls, I'll kick their ass if I ever see them because of the things they do!" Ok. Outrage over rough sex tapes... I can see that. While it's something that makes me roll my eyes its not that unusual.

What gets me is what the guys inevitably say right after they flex and posture about how they will put a beat down on the folks that make these movies. "Thanks for this videos, do you have xxxx? I've got every other scene from that site but for that one!"

Truly this calls for a face palm. They want to beat up these guys for being abusive to women... and yet they have almost every scene put out by these evil doers. I am so tempted to greet the next one of these with "Yes, I can see how upset you are. It's a miracle you were able to restrain your righteous fury long enough to rub one out."

Seriously though, There are some girls I like too and there are leechers out there who have a lot of content and share none.At the end of the day asking is just asking is really nothing offensive I think. At least I am posting something to have the honor to ask. I think it would be worst if all I did was leech and ask for stuff and never give anything in return...

I'm new here but I've been a member of several other boards. There has always been a "recognition" issue with every one of them, each handling it a bit differently. I've already seen here both sides of the "Thanks" issue. Some dont get enough praise, while others are accusing guys of saying thanks that they are only trying to boost their post count. It leaves a new guy a little confused. Personaly, I cant stand the thanks beggars or guys that actualy demand it before posting something else. Those guys should never post when content becomes of less value than the thanks they get but, I totaly agree some form of apreciation is certainly warranted for good posters. Never should it be a problem for a contributor to simply ask whether anyone has something to add. Thats a completely different scenario. I've seen a thanks button installed with some level of satisfaction. A poster can see the apreciation while the ones disliking the post boosters and thread bumpers can rest easier also.

I have a peeve about leech haters. The extreme ones. How much original content is on a porn sharing board? I dont see how it makes much sense thrashing a leecher when most of the content available has simply been leeched from another source. Please dont think I'm critisizing the VIP section here. I understand perfectly that it encourages the posting of content and earning ones way to the best material. The leech hating just gets rediculous sometimes in the places I've been.
