Not sure if anyone's brought this up before. On some of my recent posts, my links brought this message and didn't allow others to download the files:

"This file is suspected to contain illegal content and has been blocked. After the file has been blocked for 7 days it will automatically be deleted, if the block is not removed by RapidShare. For this reason, a download of this file is currently not possible."

I've seen other people (on other forums) post the same files, and their links didn't get "red-flagged" with this message from RapidShare. Just wondering if anyone could shed some light on the situation and offer possible solutions. For now I was thinking of just re-uploading the files under different, less descriptive file names.

I've had the same problem...and on the Fetish thread alot of guy's have had whole threads wiped out by this problem...I'm not sure what RS allows but I've seen the same vids elsewhere also that haven't been banned...it's same arsehole with a grudge or some such thing complaining to RS about stuff that they don't like...i've seen totally amateur uncopyrighted stuff banned on RS in this way...I'd like a solution cos it's a real pain in the arse when something like 50 files get deleted because of someone else as happenend to me 3 weeks ago...

I saw this message the first time i guess 3 or 4 months ago. Before this time, your reported files have just been deleted by rs, now it seems that they always block them before deleting. I think it's just the massive amount of complaints that rs receives, so they block the files and if you don't contact them (and convince them that you are the copyright owner, lol), they delete them. So it's not in dubio pro reo anymore, but who cares if it's concerning porn and we know that they are right. I guess the porn industry foced the pressure and rs just had to agree with that. In fact this makes it easier to report files to rs. So don't be afraid (like i was the first time) that some site-owner is trying to track YOU. Search for your rs-links and you will find them on lots of other sites and blogs. A lot of guys are trying to make money with your links when they put them on their sites or even forum boards and put a money-making link-protector or pichoster before your links. I think that's the whole miracle about it.
