I just got the scary message that Rapidgator wants to use 10 MB on my disk. The Rapidgator has been a bit weird from the start. I long for the good old days of MegaUpload and Rapidshare...

Ah, so that's their game, Crapigator make it so the "free" downloads are of such frustratingly poor quality and undependable that people snap and pay for their crappy service......

I've been using the free download links here with little or no problems.
I used to have a premium account with Oron but have not decided to get another premium account
with any others as of yet.
I will put up with the free downloads with pop ups and slower downloads until I encounter major problems.
I'm just thankfull to all the people here providing all the links.

Its just frustrating using this particular means to do so. Kind of like appreciating a donor for a life saving heart transplant, but still being upset that they chose to send it via the mail system rather than a surgical emergency transport system....

The trouble is - all eggs in one basket. You know well enough here what problems are caused by almost total reliance on one file host which then goes down the pan. Now it's happening over all the boards with RG. That will then attract the same attention as Oron and MU before it..... People need to spread this stuff around but are only going for those hosts which pay a return... for a while.

A shame that we can't use the dreaded "T" word or system on here. How much easier would it be to upload a T, place a link to the T file here and everybody wins. I guess Forumophilia somehow don't make money that way? Hmmm, maybe we can create an off-site "mail list" for said T file to be mailed out to?
