This is just one more in a series of bullshit excuses that try and coverup for the ineptitude and unprofessionalism. Hack attacks are stopped and fixed the day they happen. The whole thing is over in a few hours at the most.
First and foremost -- if they really were hacked it would have been a mistake to admit it. You get the tech people in the front lines to take care of the attack. you keep it very quiet and you DON'T scare the crap out of your customers telling them hackers are attacking their website.
With all the credit card hacking going on lately, everyone is worried about their credit card information.
It wouldn't surprise me if customers scrambled to cancel their subscription and then call their bank to get their credit card canceled for fear of fake charges.
Watching the day by day drama on Christina's website is like watching a neverending version of the movie "Dumb and Dumber".
