i think , rule #4 is not hard enough

my opinion:

"no commercial sitelinks from other boards , selfmade galleries/collections on neutral uploadservices only..."

person who has committed must be reset to 0 posts
what do you think?

I dont know about resetting as a deterent Cos.

theses people are not here to win anything cept your mouse click

maybe just getting the mods to delete any thread that was spaming?
or post with in a thread. I guess that this would take some time so maybe not practical.
then again Marcus has nothing better to do....lol

but I agree it is annoying. opening a thread just to fine its 30/40/50 links to nothing in particular

Agreed. I have been around for 3 months. It seems in just that short time period, more and more posts consist of nothing but dozens of links toplaces that can easily be found outside the forum if one is so inclined. If the trend continues, this forum will soon be just a place for shills trying to make a quick buck. If they were prohibited, I would not miss them.

Glad I'm not the only one annoyed by this. It's SPAM, any way you cut it. A little every now and then is to be expected, but there's too much right now.

The spammers will always be here and they require full-time control from the administrators. Unfortunately, GS does not spend as much time here as is required to police the area.

In the past, he has banned spammers by their IP, but it is still a constant attack that is tiring. Until GS gets a new partner to share the load, we either live with it or leave.

Of course we could also repost the same links without the advertiser codes attached. For example, when Mazzer suggests that everyone visit hotandsexynakedhighschoolgirls.com/galleries/adv185729, we could copy the message to simply hotandsexynakedhighschoolgirls.com/galleries/ and put it in the same thread. That way, he doesn't get paid a cent.

Mad

some are good, but the ones that makes your PC's suck up malware, viruses, Trojans and such are malicious & not cool at all!

Some spammers have been creeping in and trying to lay low, That's a lot of work for markus to sift through, then ban there IP, kick them off the board, then they just creep back with another proxy, new name and go at it again, good question

what do ya do???

Too clean all that stuff out of here we would all have to help him, on second thought, let all the leechers catch everthing, we lay low and watch the complaints of PC failures====no signing up for AF either-----

Very Good question ya have there????

What about a button to report a post as SPAM/ Ilegal/ Against any rule ?
That way the modereator can concentrate on the reported links and everyboy help in the police function.

Very good idea, naturally it brings the kid out of me and thinks of pranks to play on fellow posters, so maybe a new rule as such should evolve with it!

I think a Spam-alarm button would trigger all kinds of false alarms. The electronic equivalent of ringing a doorbell and running away.

Cool

Well. lets flip the coin and say, what if GS lets in a few venders that fully disclose on there thread who they are and let GS work a deal for fee to allow exposure that the venders want, after all this is one off the top forums around the world, A lot of people pass through these portals!!

thats a ecconomic solution----- Question
