I want to convert & burn some movies that were downloaded as AVIs to DVD. I need a program that is free and won't put watermarks over it. I've had some trouble in the past where as a 700 MB AVI file converted too large to fit on a 4.7 GB DVD. I need some tips on that too.

I am using the program TMPGEnc DVD Author for this job but it isn't freeware. Before that i've used "SUPER". It can convert almost every video to DVD-Format but it needs some practice to work with it.

Why don't you have a closer look on doom9.org?

ConvertXToDVD works well for me. Not free, but available for free on other boards.

I have a movie 3.56GB in MKV format. I converted to DvD and burned it, but there is no sound. The Audio_TS folder has no files on the disk. What did I do wrong?

The "Audio_TS" folder is always empty on standard DVDs. Check the the settings in "ConvertXToDVD". Do you hear sound when you play the file on your pc?

When I play the disc my PC with VLC, I have sound, but no sound using my DvD player or Playstation.

When I open the sound menu, I have 1 option;
DTS 5.1CH

That's the issue. Some DVD Players cannot decode DTS Sound. Maybe the homepage of your software (http://www.vso-software.fr/tutorial.php) can help you to find the right configuration.

It's a Blu-Ray movie, I think that's the problem. Converted the .mkv file to a DvD, but my DvD players are playing the sound.
