cant read file header

hey guys i have aprob

i saved some pix from a site on my drive. then when i want to look at them it cant open the jpeg, says cant read file header.
renaming to bmp doesnt work. opeing in editor is not allowed (!)

does anyone know this error? and how to get rid of it`?

If anything can open it it is a free program called irfanview found her.
http://www.irfanview.com/ open with this and then save as .jpg

i am using irfanview but it doesnt open the file. t4 i cant save it.
i believe its a security mechanism from this paysite. but who knows how to get around that
