As you know there are really LOTS of posting from Phishers and Spammer on Forumphila and I´m so fucking tired of this problem who are completely destroing this forum/board. Until the Administrators and the siteowners take some REAL hard action against this and solve the phishing and spamming problem, I have decided to leave Forumphila and stop posting.

Yeah, there's been a lot of shit posted recently!

From my experience of these types of spammers i can predict they won't last long. They'll get bored and move on - i've seen it happen lots of times on other forums. Still, it's a pain in the arse while it lasts though.

ps. thanks for the great posts Smukke Charlie Smile

Here is the problem with the phishers and hackers:

They set in cyber cafes where they live and use proxy servers from any country they choose. When the IP they are using gets banned, they just choose another IP from an endless supply. They are hard to trace, and even if you can find them, they are damn near impossible to prosecute.

I saw an attack 12 hours ago by "... painintheass" and "p3n1s" I would bet both were the same person who simply re-registered on another IP address after posting several threads on the first IP address.

this is still one of THE best pron forums on the net. the content is great (not to mention free) and best of all the mods have en**** a good classification system that makes it easy to surf.

while i hate phishers (a lot more than spammers), its a small price to pay.

probably the worst thing for me is the fact that popular links are reported within 24-48 hours (read oldje thread, videot33nage thread, s3v3nt33n thread, lightsp33d thread, kuifje thread, on and on). i find that i can't go on vacation for too long otherwise i miss all the good stuff.

its been suggested numerous times (and shot down) that guests shouldn't be able to see attachments or links until they register and post X amount of times. i am not sure if that would save links longer. i do notice that links that tend to stay alive longer from other forums are

1) not cross posted in numerous forums
2) do not have blantant thread titles (instead of marisasheaven it might be m@ris@she@ven)
3) do not allow hot linking or any direct linking to pron sites (this is a sure way webmasters find these forums to begin with)
4) have some type of validation scheme like not being able to see RS links until a 10 post count or something similar

anyway, you should just give it a rest awhile and then come back in a few weeks

It seems to me that the best way to combat these Phishermen is to make sure they catch as few phish as possible. They're not bots, and it takes time and effort to set up these "nets". If their yield is close to zip, they'll get frustrated and give up.

I don't know how selectively you can grant Mod powers, but it might be worthwhile to "deputize" the people who right now are devoting their time to cataloging and marking posts with their "Warning - Phishing" posts. They could then either, depending on the powers they were granted,

A- Delete the posts.
B- Set the posts to invisible.

If your software has a trash can feature then you could grant them the powers to delete posts and be able to restore them, should a mistake be made and a legitimate complaint be registered by someone caught up in a mass deletion.

Either way the posts would disappear and then people like the OP wouldn't feel frustrated at having their posts vanish from page one in the twinkling of an eye. Competition for page one time is pretty fierce without these phishing a-holes.

They will be gone eventually, and it will appear as if they were never here. I saw the same user name spam anther forum with the same 31 videos moments before I came here. He might have even been doing them both at the same time. He is damn quick at it, too.

I really wanted to see this video: Sunny Leone-hardcore-Threesome scene with Monique Alexander

Since you are supposed to post all your videos in one thread, maybe increasing the time between starting threads to 5 minutes or more would piss him off enough to stop, or at least cut back. I know you can adjust the time between posts, but I don't know if you can adjust the threads only without effecting the time between individual posts. Most forums defaults are 30 seconds on posts.

I just tried to find to find the delay between searches. There was no delay whatsoever. That's sweet.

True, but the sooner their "nets" can be destroyed, the more frustrating and profitless their efforts will become. People are already entering a lot of these threads, to post warnings or log the phishing attempts. Obviously you don't want to spread Mod powers around like they're nothing, but if you can harness the efforts of some of the many people who are regulars and who are angered by these annoying idiots, you could really cut them off at the knees.

Apparently it's the scene from "Sunny Loves Matt". I'm grabbing a copy now.

Marking a BS post as phishing isn't the same as bumping. It does act as a warning and these threads don't last long enough to fall off page 1 in the first place. After what's been happening, I think AKAbob's idea of a wait period between starting new threads should be considered. If you watch, these guys often post 10 to 20 new threads, not just posts, in as many minutes so in very little time they almost cover a page. Last night, for example, there was a time where a whole section (about half of it) of the "Videos" page 1 was one of two phishers; all threads posted a minute or less after the previous one.
