why is my movie thread deleted without any warnings?

Sorry, nimrod. I misunderstood. I dont know what has happened to your movie thread.

It would be possible that some Rapidshare thief posted to your thread and a Moderator mistakenly deleted the entire thread instead of deleting just the phisher`s post to your thread. That would explain how your thread met its demise but beyond that, I myself havent any knowledge of why it seemingly has been deleted.

Sorry. I don't know anything about this.

Sorry, can't help, neither seen nor deleted it.

A useful hint for future threads/postings:

I save all my content postings as txt files, so if the board crashes and some stuff get lost, I'll repost it very quickly.

Hi again, nimrod. I have a feeling that one of us, possibly myself though I do not recall doing so, has deleted an RS thief`s post to a thread and inadvertantly deleted the thread that an RS thief posted his bogus links to. Otherwise we should have learned by now where your thread went. None of the staff recall any definite reason for your thread having being removed, which is why I suspect one of us inadvertantly nuked it while removing a bogus link posted by one of the zillions of RS thieves who presently haunt chatboards on the net.

Is there any way for you to rebuild and repost your thread, nimrod?

nimrod1's thread was the greatest on this board. I think I'm going to cry.

Hopefully nimrod will take notice that folks miss the content of his thread and that he might then be encouraged to rebuild his thread.

This is really sad. How could such a thing happen? Nimrod's thread was the lifeblood of the video clips section--consistent quality and quantity. It was as good if not better than andy's thread but without the right wing wacko politics.

I noticed a couple of threads that also seem to have been wiped out. Dotham's videos comes to mind....

Surely there are safeguards to prevent such a thing from happening? The moderation of this forum has been flawless. So it really is a ripe topic for investigation. That was a tremendous amount of work to get lost.

Of course i'm a bit sad that 250 pages are gone and it is not important who deleted it to keep the board clean, accidents can happen.

At least the files are still up on RS so i only have to find back i think about 1900 screens. Looking at my RS account it stores 2949 files and has 6 pages so it might take some time.

I can't think that you (or the server) don't keep a regular backup of the database from where you could retrieve an inadvertently deleted thread

Only the owner of the business that operates this site is authorized to create a daily backup of the owner`s website and, unless and until I am directed to take on additional administrative responsibilities, there can be no immediate remedy to those mistakes that may happen from time to time regardless the degree of attention that all of the Moderators provide. Due to the fact that the owner of this site is not present on a daily basis, we forum moderators cannot guarantee that a member`s post or thread might somehow mistakenly be deleted.

I have apologised to nimrod1 and as a token gesture of regret, I have changed nimrod1`s title to a custom title that only he will have here, that of 'Pornstar' because he is a star when it comes to sharing porn (though he will be free to pick any custom title he likes and I will change it).
