Imgbox shocked me as well. Just started to use this service 2 month back. Thought it would be stable, really annoying.

it seems imgbox is working again, you can upload again so maybe its not going down anyway.

Also imagebam has removed the announcement but uploading is not possible just yet so maybe that also survives.
