Any (preferably FREE) alternatives to Windows Movie Maker??? Until then, my "Cumpilation" thread is DEAD as I have no way to join the clips Sad

I did just order another HDD from New Egg, and I'll have to install XP on it anyway, but till then...?

Try this provided the inputs also are wmv or asf files.

You can cut scenes from larger movies and then join the small clips into a larger new one.

I downloaded it, and opened it. When I installed it however, all it did was "flash" and didn't install. There is no shortcut on my desktop, and it doesn't show in list of all programs. Is there a trick to getting it to work? Please do not mis-understand, I DO appreciate it Very Happy

Sorry about that.
Link was something I had amongst all my uploads and when I check it now it's way to small for the actual one.
Have to delete the old one and if you try this new upload.

That one should start the installation.

Thank you svinto, I'm downloading it now, and give it a shot within the next couple days. I just ordered a new HDD and XP Pro disk as I got my bonus Very Happy and I realized that it's a combination of a bad XP install on a bad hard drive. This morning I lost my shortcuts to calculator, paint and all my "word" files cannot be opened because there is no program installed to open them with Sad

So, anyway, thanks, I'll give it a shot for the next week or so, and if I REALLY like the program, I might even continue using it.
