I know that not everyone on this board is American, and there may be some people here that dislike Americans, but I would like to say GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS!!!

May they stay safe and return home soon!!!

Oh Jaysus Overreactin' Christ, nothing I said was hateful in any way, or targeted against any member of the forum. I thought it was good discussion fodder, actually. Evidently I was wrong, so I apologize for my rant. And apologies to Big Paulie and Gnome ... the latter knows that I have nothing but lub and respect for him.

And I apologize to SD, whose reply looks strange without my rant in here. I'll back him up in almost anything. I'll back Gnome up in almost anything as well.

IMHO, which I'm allowed to have, this thread can and will only bring pain and controversy and flaming, in the end. It has no place on a pron forum.

Like religion or politics threads. Those subjects shouldn't be allowed in a pron forum.

God and politics shouldn't be allowed to be used together. God and war either. I hate the bible thumping extremists. Im as scared of muslims extremists than the bible-thumping americans/extremists that influences the US government.

I dont dislike Americans, Im in love with Julia Roberts and maybe Cameron Diaz and also Mischa Barton and probably wouldnt say no to Clarista flockhart, but Harisson Ford would have to be out of the country and I would have to learn how to spell her name first.

I laugh at the comic stylings of Jerry Seinfield, Michael J Fox, Dennis Leary. I cried when I watched Miracle on 34th street and that adorable santa signed for the deaf girl. I watch J.A.G. and would never say no to Catherine Bell. Love NCIS, mark Harmon at his best.

I just dont understand your politics, Ive watched every episode of the west wing 1000 times, as I bought the dvds, and I just dont get it. Why do you have such an agressive foriegn policy?
Why do you have to try and force everyone to be like you? Thats what I dont understand about America, I think most if not the majority of Americans are great people, So why demand that all other countries act like America.

I also dont understand your ability to hate, 9/11 aside, I think Russia is a wonderful country, full of turmoil but a beautiful heritage and amazing history. How can anyone hate russia?

Would America have invaded Iraq if they were not one of the worlds biggest suppliers of oil? why did America supply them with weapons for so long to help them fight Iran?

I have nothing against Americans at all, but you should stand up with all your national pride and DEMAND that your citizens stop dying for mistakes your government has made in the past. Stop being the worlds watchdogs. If your friends ask for help then help, if we needed help I know you guys would be one of the first here to help us out, no doubt about it. But why let your own citizens die because of your governments desire to flex its muscles.

That said, if you can send me Julia Roberts for the weekend I will pretend to be an American for a whole year and talk with a texan accent.

I tend to agree with windmere, who has been in the forum longer than me even if it doesn't show, that this thread should be closed.
In all fairness though there should be room for one reply from the threadinitiator bigpaulie426.
Any other reply will I delete without even bother to read.
After bigpaulie426 have made his reply I might change my mind and allow others to reply again.
In that case I will say so.

I think there will never be any winner, only loosers, in a debate like this.
At the best it will be a standpoint where all involved parts agree to disagree and move on with other things, ie what the forum is intended for.

Greetings all, First off I would have to say, God bless our troops. Speaking as an American I can give you a little insight as to whats what.
Lets remember first that the United States has over three hundred million liviing here and we are not all of the same mind, politically, religiously ect. We see this as our strength, we are a diverse culture of literally hundreds of nations, including russians.
Let me tackle the hate Russia thing.... We do not hate Russia, plain and simple. What you are probably talking about was spillage from the old and dead cold war. This of course was started at the end of world war two and continued for many years. The USSR was something that most Americans hated simply because of the nuclear war threat. This is no longer a viable opposition and for the most part the American public see Russia as allies.
What we don’t like are individuals or nations that impose their ideas, political or otherwise on other people without choice. And of course we don’t like it when people attack us and kill us and try to take away our freedom and ability to choose for ourselves. We have a zero tolerance on terrorism and I think that is just.
I will not sit here and try to defend however that the current wars abroad that we are fighting are correct or proper. In fact that is probably the feel of most of the American public. Currently there are large political movements going on to bring our troops home and to stop all the madness. It will take time.
Short of another American revolution let me just say that there are many things about our government that are not liked by Americans. Just as I am sure there are many things that are not liked by other people about their governments. I am very sure that if we judged each and every individual by the government that they lived under there would be many more wars to be fought and many millions dead. So lets not do that. I will never be able to agree with or be able to comprehend that wars should be fought by the decision of one man or a group of people, deciding the fate of millions. Whats with that anyway? Who the hell made them God anyway? What Americans want more than anything else is peace.
Today, in my opinion, our largest threat is the news media, regardless of if its ours or yours I don’t think we are all getting the right Idea or the right information about whats going on in the world. Most news media organizations are either run by or heavily influenced by, guess who, the governments they are under. America is no exception to that we are finding out.
Personally I can’t sit here and imagine that anyone would not like me simply because I am an American, when inside the three block area I live in are people from all over the world living together in harmony and peace. My great friends here are from Panama, Vietnam, Portugal, The U.K. and Mexico. I would have to think that if you hate America you had best look in the mirror, because you probably hate yourself even more....
