Got many hits regarding joining rar and HJ splitfiles which is not what you are looking for.

I totally recommend the Boilsoft program (AVI etc JOINER) listed in the thread Svinto provided. They also make a great splitter, and I use the 2 of those programs more than any other for vid joining and chopping scenes.

Me too I use boilsoft joiner and their splitter and can tell you it's a great program and worth the cash if you can't find for free. Haven't had a problem with either yet.

I use Movie Toolbox Movie Joiner. It gives great results (when it works) though sometimes it doesn't do anything. I think it's got some weird bug about having the merged file in the same directory or something. It can join up to three files at a time if unregistered and a lot more when registered. It works with just about every major format (AVI, MPEG, WMV).

I tried it is quick but in the place where videos two were reached, there is not sound and picture remains blocked during 2 seconds. Be able to t one avoid it ?
