Im SICK of clicking download links and seeing FILE NOT FOUND

Why doesn't Forumophilia store all those pictures and videos here? 3rd party file sharing sites aren't reliable otherwise the beautiful pictures/videos I want wouldn't be gone. About half of all the content I'm looking for linked from this site is gone and its usually the best stuff! Thats outrageous. If 3rd party sites can't keep the files, they should be stored here instead.

Its true, that would be awesome. And I've encountered the same issue. But I bet its easier said than done. And unless people are paying I'm sure its hard to store everything too.

I'm afraid the downside you are describing (which NOone really likes) is one of the things freeloaders like we are just have to live with.

Here's a solution. If you use the search feature the posts will be listed with the most recent posts on top. This dramatically reduces the chance the file in question will no longer be available. As you go back in time to the older posts, the chances of files being missing goes up.

I agree the file hosts are generally unreliable, but this is not their problem. They can't help it if someone uploads something, and then deletes it, or closes their account.

And sorry, yes, your idea that forumophilia host the files is unworkable. If they did that, there's no way this forum could still be free. If it cost money to be here, the vast majority of members would bail, and the forum would collapse.

I'm often very grateful for those who edit posts to reflect dead links... and also quite often p*ssed of that some great vids are now unobtainable.
