Was this actualy meant to be a new topic?
I thought we had agreed that this is what we are all doing.
D/Ling more than we ever need or could whatch.
Just for the fun of it.
Just imagine. Look two years back. Pick a random disk from your archives.
Play it, and discoveer what amazing thinghs that have been catched.
Isn't it wortht it?

General reflection. No, people don't have that in there minds anymore.
Two years, an eternity. A kick in the head, fine he is up by the morning.
A shot to the thorax, no harm they fix that in the techs departement.
Those are thoughts, I admit, taken a bit to the extreme, that have rescently crossed my mind.
Thats how young people think reality is.
(Remember, still how I think they think.)
{I'm blaming the internet and videogames. A kick to the head and the person kicked is raising and walking away apparently unharmed, what kind of reality check is that giving our youngsters?}
This is not only because of the schoolshootings we all heard, read, seen about in the US.
This is spreeding.
We've had similar things here in Sweden.
The people in the US reacts. When it affects them.
Totally understandable.
We reacts now here in Sweden. For the same reasons.
What might be a difference is that the reaction is in no way gouverned by adults. It's purely driven by young people, same age (friends to) as the latest victim.
They simply had ENOUGH.

I wan't to add more later but this is how far I've got.
I'm still awating the latest news for the manifestacion held tonight against streetviolence.

I had to add when I reread this I couldn't stop weaping.
Tears just came on.
Sorry but I'm a total wimp.

roaduser myapologies for "hijacking" your topic but it just came over me.

Yeah I think this is agreed amongst us all.

Actually I have been spending most of the last 3 weeks organising my collection, weeding out tons of stuff I have been collecting over the years and not watching etc. In fact hardly even bother uploading vids here anymore as most of all I have whether gotten from here or not is already here!

PS svinto what is that other thread about porn and violence? It is very interesting and I would like to read it. Can you link it here please?

Is this what you read as another thread, Esty?
Because then read it again to find out that I apologies for having changed the thread title of this thread.

Svinto my old friend, some heavy thoughts hangin' there. What's going on amigo? Something happen close to home there for you? Hope not.

If you're talking about the "news", remember, its terribly sensationalized everywhere. Its all about getting people to watch/click/read for the sake of advertising dollars (noooo, I'm not at all cynical, noooo). And Violence sells, especially to yuhnger folks.

But there's good in the world too. Exclamation

And, there's good PORN in the world as well. PRon without all the needless violence and severe denigration of beautiful wimmen.

Back to the other topic. Absolutely, screening and downloading is at least 80% of the fun! For example, I like getting lots of old classic pRon movies, like from the late 70s and early 80s, and I spend lots of time "clipping" these movies into the "good parts". And then I save the good parts in well-organized files. Do I ever go back and view these clips or scenes? Sometimes. When I Willy the Wonka. Twisted Evil But I'd die if I ever lost them in a HD crash or whatever! So they're backed up on DVD and so on. Rolling Eyes Laughing

What cracks me up is that never-ending pursuit of the BEST stuff. I mean, click on the thumbnail, and look at this babe, one of my favorite Funs models:

How ... can ... it ... get ... any ... better? Shocked

I dunno, but I have a great time trying to find out! Cool

When 40% of young people (below 20 y, in Stockholm) answer yes to the question if they have been a victim of streetviolence then I don't think it's just a media hype.
What trigged me in particular was that some teenboy had been unprovokedly attacked, beaten down, kicked in the head (Fri) and 24 hours later (Sat), died.
More or less in front of my 18 year old niece, not quite but she was in the same neighbourhood and saw the policeaction.

Another instance from the past week is that a gang of teens has for a long time been harassing a family to the point when the father takes his rifle and kills one boy and seriously injure another.
Keep in mind that this happend in a small place in Sweden, 3000 habitants.

For the good things in the world, yes. I do know #1 place. Wink

Ahhhh. Hey, didn't mean to to say that it was media "hype" ... just meant to say that the media doesn't come anywhere close in their depiction of a society ... way way way too much emphasis on the bad and extreme things, in order to sensationalize and sell advertising.

That's horrible about the teen who was killed near your niece. I hope they caught the bastards. And you're right, that kind of thing does happen way too much. Reducing violence in a society, though, is a topic requiring much imbibing of beverages of the alcoholic persuasion ... and its only 2 in the afternoon where I am, too early for me to start pacing myself. Wink

However, I bet Slade already has a big start. Laughing

But anyway I don't know much about Sveden and how it might differ from other European countries (and the USA), in terms of violence and kiids and so on. My guess is that its not really all that different. USA police carry guns (and use them) which can be more of a deterrent than in countries where the police are not armed. Not better, just different. Of course, many of the kiids carry guns too. Rolling Eyes Eh. It all starts with the home life ... or broken-home life, etc etc.
