Serious Problems I have: Bored & Losing Interest

I miss the old days of these forums. You click on the link; a few selected images appear, then you click on the picture (s) you like.

Now everything or almost everything is zipped or whatever because these days we have full sets or full videos. This means a lengthy process of downloading, rejoining, and then after all of that you may wonder if it was worth it. Don't misunderstand me, I like some of what I download (which I end up deleting anyway). But it takes time and more time.

And when I share, I need to upload which also takes time. Otherwise I feel like a leach.

I wish there's an easier way to view the whole videos and sets without having to download them then decide to download or not to.. At least it will cut time in half: only uploading.

Bored, bored, bored...

I have not done much of up- or downloading for a while....

You're not the only one. Same here. But I don't care too much and I gotta say I don't miss the old times at all.

You remember the time when porn hit the internet? When I found sample TGP's first time I spent nights with surfing on these kind of crap pages

To you spdspk i can only say from own experience that it comes and goes.
The spirit to be active is sometime low and sometime very high.
I have though noticed that my "intermissions" tends to become longer and longer.

Then again the moderating of this forum is timeconsuming so it prevents me from surfing as much elsewhere as I used to.

... oh yes, the good old times... When I had my very first internet connection, I remember that I was nearly vibrating. I started with the famous supermodels and actresses and created folders on my harddisc with their names and downloaded every single picture patiently click by click. I remember that I started let´s say at 6 pm and suddenly realized that it was already 1 am in the night...

Nowadays I sometimes check some sites in the net and become really bored after a few minutes, too. But there are also times where I can last for hours in front of the monitor. I realized that the periods of not being interested in porn etc. is growing meanwhile.
In my opinion it´s the problem of abundance. We all consume too much to be able to relish.

Nevertheless I love this forum and it´s very often that it is the very first site I check when being online. I found so much cool stuff I never dreamt of, especially some great videos.

My problem is I find there's TOO MUCH choice on this great forum! It's difficult to know where to start and I find it overwhelming! However, it's a nice kind of 'overwhelming'

The other problem is I feel like a leach - I thought I had built up a good collection before I joined here, but I find everything I already have (and was going to share) is already here!

So, with all this choice, I am far from bored...

As for zips - well, much quicker than: download image 01, 'right click', save image... download image 02, 'right click', save image... download image 03, 'right click', save image... etc. yada yada...

Now.... what shall I D/L next?

For me the "boring and losing interest" happens as I'm watching the videos. This was what I thought this thread would be about. How most of this shit is just not exciting anymore but we keep pulling it off the shelves when we should just stop - to me this is a "serious problem".

90-99% of the stuff I come across here and elsewhere i already know is not going to do it for me so I skip very fast to the next thing and the next and the next...

1-10% of the stuff I come across I will download because they seemed interesting at the time. However i delete about half of this after watching for about 5 seconds or less. Using this method of skimming off only what I find interesting I have accumulated about 4 TB of porn and about 90% of it I've never watched for more than 2 to 5 seconds. Yet I do not delete it. I keep it because you never know what you might be in the mood for on a rainy day.

The massaging of google, forums, usenet search engines in the pursuit of the appropriate material can be tiring and frustrating but i'm not sure if it is boring otherwise it would not hold my interest for several hours. Actually the mind can get so addicted by the appetite that it'll burn itself out to the point where it doesn't know if what it's doing is self-destructive or not, nor does it care. Another serious problem.

Well, I am glad to know I am not the only one.

I think that forums that succeed in the future are those that use YouTube style and particularly Megarotic where you can watch then decide if you want to download. No more downloading long boring movies and galleries that are not to your liking.

The only time is the time you take to upload.

That would save a lot of time..

In the meantime, for now, I feel free (more or less)!

Why watch a video on the likes of YouTube and THEN decide if you want to download it?

Technically you've already downloaded it anyway, so the only extra step is to whether you keep it or delete it.

I have no problem with zipped sets, I prefer them in fact. I like being able to cue a bunch of them up and walk away from my computer, I was never a fan of sitting at my computer for hours clicking and saving one pic at a time.

And yeah, I was there for the old days, of course back then you didn't get the resolutions and high quality images and videos you do now.

The internet is constantly evolving anyway, I miss the old chat rooms as they've been pretty much replaced with forums, but eh ... i'll live.

a few nights a week i allow myself a good bottle of booze and time to download dozens of full movies. this used to be a lot more exciting to do, since some years ago finding these movies was quite a process. but the amount of posted pr0n has grown to such an extend, that it's all more about selecting than finding stuff.

i miss the times that we were hunting for meat in the forests, now we're looking for trees there. not nearly as challenging

i don't know about really being bored by pr0n, i still love to find a hot chick i hadn't seen before, but the number of downloaded movies discarded nearly immediately again is certainly growing.

but then... if i haven't been around pr0n for a few days, i suddenly love the hunt again. maybe it's still about hoping to find another perfect clip, and the satisfaction that comes with watching and sharing it. not to mention editing it into something postable, like turning 1hr+ clip into more condensed shorter scenes, and blurring out annoying logos. i still love to do that on those rainy nights. and probably will for some time to come

spdspk I know where you are coming from my man...just do what I do when the same old things become stale and uninteresting. Find a non-porn forum where people post to share other things are just chat to one another. I have found many friendships this way and it helps when bordom attacks. The other suggestion is walk away from the computer for as long as you are able to resist the urge to share your opinions, porn or what ever. When you feel that you can no longer stay away...BAM! you are cured.

I have gained allot of wisdom concerning picture and link downloads
Therefor its easier to grab an entire site and cue it all up and check back later when you feel like watching something.

There are really numerous program's and sites which explain how to do stuff, and if your "hungry" enough you will go find for easier ways to easy that hunger
