Screencapture Tool for Videocaps

Hallo everybody.

Maybe one of you guys could help me.
There seems to be some kind of tool people use to create the preview screencaps for a video file.

What is this tool called (if there is any)?

failing that download image grabber II from one of the 500+ posts that address the question.

You can download Media Player Classic and it has a feature where you can save thumbnails.

i find it easy to use.

1. open image grabber
then chose the file you want to make screenshots of (open it)
2. press there and specify how many you want
3. save file and upload your saved file to ex. http://www.imagevenue.com/
