I remember that old scheme to protect the pics from archiving. It was popular at the time but then too easy for serious geeks to get around so it got dropped - all the pictures were in the browser cache if you ever thought to look, you just couldn't right click and save the picture.

The picture was displayed as a cell in a table. The content of the cell was the old single pixel clear .gif, resized the same as the picture. The actual picture was set as the background of the cell, so that if you did right-click-save what you got was the transparent single pixel in the foreground, not the pic of Alana in the background. I think that the really advanced versions of this served out all the porn pics with the same name, so that it would keep getting overwritten in your cache unless you copied it out after every new photo.

As you can tell, I was sufficiently annoyed by this that I still remember how to get around it if I ever see it again. Wow, the things that get stuck in your head.
