Garbage text when trying to download RS files

Can someone tell me why (sometimes, but not always) when I click on the RS links all I get is garbage text like this:

It seems that other people are able download these files.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

I get that as well,

All I do to download the file is to right click on the link and save target as.

this then downloads the file correctly

Do you have direct downloads enabled on rapidshare.com? I have noticed same problem only since enabling that. Right clicking a link as mentioned by bob down definitley saves the day.

If you then remove rs71tg. and hit return it also should work.

It's something I get as well sometimes.

Another easy remedy is to stop the download (for me hitting the red X at the top of the page), then add ".htm" without the " " to the url and then click on GO (whatever the icon is for you to go to the url). It works every time.

I guess the problem is that some people re-type the url they get rather than copy and paste a link - the latter works every time.
