Why are girls attracted to us older guys?

With all the girls I've dated, I seem to attract the younge_r ones mostly (19-23YR) range. Me being in my 40's I have absolutely no issue with this, seeing how women my age tend to be less active (socially) then I (yeah I still do extreme sports and metal concerts)
I have been given many reasons for their attraction. Mainly...
Maturity- (no game playing)
Sexual experience- (they are tired of the "2 pump chumps")
Is this the overall consensus with the older gentlemen here?

I hope you aren't concluding that because the girls you date are attracted to the much older you, that most or even many young women are attracted to guys old enough to be their fathers. They aren't. Of those that are, most have emotional/psychological issues. Same with the guys dating women young enough to be their daughters.

Simple answer: because older men are ever searching for younge_r women...

In my personal experience, there's "gold zones" of age.

A high school chick would be really impressed by a 25 year old hitting her, but skeeved out by a 40 year old doing it. A twenty-one year old might view a man in his 30's or 40's as appealing, but a twenty-eight year old as just another guy.

If i had to guess, I'd say it's based off perceptions of what they find ideal in a man. I always - always - date those less aged then myself, and generally i find that what their looking for is:

1. Stability. They want a guy who already *has* all the stuff they want, a house, a car, a good job.

2. Experience. An older guy who knows what he's doing, in all areas of life. Have car trouble? he knows how to fix that. Want to go to a fancy restaurant? He can arrange it, without any trepidation at all. Relationship problems? he's done it all before and so doesn't freak out.

3. An Inroad. Older guys are a great inroad to everything a chick could want, from glamorous or romantic activities to social respectability. Two nineteen year old chicks don't get much respect; a forty year old man with a twenty-year old chick does get respect from service personnel, waiters, etc.

generally speaking in American society, youth is equated to sexuality and age to respectability. For a lot of chicks (and guys!) this is an ideal mixture. The chick gets the benefits of someone older, while the guy gets the benefit of someone less aged.

I also find that college chicks are really hot to prove that their "adults" to everyone around them. What better way then dating someone who's obviously an adult, and so would only like *other* adults? It's faulty logic, but after a few crappy college boyfriends, i could see the appeal to a lot of girls.

For me, personally, as an older man (twenty-eight) who dates less aged chicks, the big advantage is that their easier to manipulate, and their own attempts at manipulating me are naive enough for me to either avoid or humor. I had one girl who thought she was hot shit because she could "convince" me to take her out to dinner! I never told her that anyone my own age would have pretty much considered that a regular part of life.

When we men start generalizing about women, a little skepticism is always welcome. As to me, they seem to be even more diverse than us. But of course, they do look best between 15 and 25, we all know that...

If the 'she' is often on the rebound from her first marriage or serious BF, she'll be more interested in the established male who (important) has his act together. They'll be looking for a 'Daddy' who can provide cable, cell phone, vacation, etc, not just rides in the 8 year old car. They want to continue the dating lifestyle while enjoying a better lifestyle baseline. Yes, they want it all! At least for a while. My immediate X stayed till she started Med school, but still drops by for dinner/laundry/breakfast.
