What made you choose your username?

My name is the Sindarian (that'd be the language of the elves from Lord of the Rings) word for "dying" or "death".

I'm a rather morbid fellow out in the meatworld. i like to reflect that via my choice of name. The reason it's in sindarian is two fold:

1. A certain very special girl i know likes/speaks sindarian, and it's kind of a homage to her.

2. It's not as..trite, as just choosing "death" as a name (which someone already has, I'm sure). I wanted something a little more exotic.

AcidFast is a "nickname" for a type of bacteria - specifically, the one that causes Tuberculosis. In the medical field, because of a certain staining procedure needed to view this particular type of bacteria, it is referred to as Acid Fast Bacillus, or AFB for short.

Wikman is short for Karl Wikman, which has been my internet alias for some time. I chose it because it is a name which sounds respectable, and which doesn't resemble my real name...

That is of course NOMB or anyone elses NOMB.

[For non swedish, Kal (dialectal short for Karl) an is d Ada is two names often used in Gothenburg jokes. They have two friends Osborne and Beda, also frequently used in local jokes from Gothenburg. For a starter I assume Karl and Kal is non related.]

The name Karl Wikman came about because;

a) It doen't resemble my real name.
b) It sounds respectable, which my previous internet alias "Micke Morot" (Michael the Carrot) didn't.
c) It works equally well internationally as it does locally.
d) It gives away that I'm Swedish or of northern European descent at least.

Mine is the three first letters on my name plus an obvious suffix, everybody here likes

Necron99 was a robot assassin from a 1970's classic by Ralph Bakshi animated by my favorite artist, Frank Frazetta(I draw in my non-forum time). Necron was almost an early Boba Fett version and classic character from the movie. The User pic is also movie related, being from George Lucas' first real film: THX-1138...'nuff said.
