Its obvious you meant to post this to a thread and you clicked New Topic instead of clicking Reply (the latter kicks your stray post into this the ANGELFUNS.COM section as a result). Having said that, could you paste into a reply the link to the thread in question? I havent used a Mac but others have and may be able to help you. Meantime I am going to move this post to General Chat since Mac users who peruse the chat forum might see your post and offer advice.

If the files you have problems with ends in .rar you need winrar to extract and combine the files. Check here for a suitable version.
www.rarlab.com

If it ends with .zip and have several parts named .z01 .z02 etc
then I got this from another forum.

Mac users...

This is how you get it to work:

let's say you wanted filename11.wmv and you have the files, filename11.wmv.z01 and filename11.wmv.zip

-rename the files to filename11.zip.001 and filename11.zip.002

then open the .001 in theunarchiver

enter the password, and it extracts it...note that you have to use theunarchiver, as it will not work with bomhelper

It's hard to believe that you've managed to survive this long without StuffitExpander. It was designed specifically for the Mac and is completely invaluable. So much so that I thought it was pre-installed with every new Mac shipped. Have a look in your Applications folder - you might just have to do a quick install - but if it's not there you can download it for free at http://www.stuffit.com/mac/

Its such a pleasure compared to 'labour-intensive' winrar. You double click or drag the first archived/zipped file and that's it...it does the rest.

This from Apple's website at http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/system_disk_utilities/stuffitexpander.html
Easily expand and decode all the files you download from the Web or receive in your email. Access StuffIt files, uncompress Zip archives created by WinZip and other zip utilities, decompress tar, gzip and bzip archives, and more. Just drag, drop, and you’re done! From BinHex to Zip, StuffIt to MIME, Expander accesses more formats, in less time, with zero hassles.

Your life's about to become a whole lot easier, my friend.

Sugarman have you tryed stuffit with the split winarchives?
Because I have been told stuffit can't handle them.
