Best way of getting screengrabs from a webcam?

Ok, a little help required here. Basically, this will be to the benefit of everyone who likes looking at slutty girls being filthy on cam.

Brief synopsis: I have an online 'friend' who likes to 'entertain' me and is quite happy that I take pics of her and is even happy that I share them with friends. So, it'd be rude of me not to share these photos.

Anyway, I'm using this crappy program called 'Bulent's Screen Recorder' which captures the whole screen rather than just the webcam. So, if anyone can recommend something which would be of use to me I'd be very grateful. And I'll put the pics up in the amateur post section. Deal?

Also, if there's anyway I can improve my current grabs, then suggest away (apart from photoshop, I'm too poor to own that).

There are tons of apps out there designed for that purpose, i.e. webcam grabs, but unfortunately I dont have one handy. However, I did send you a Private Message regarding a capture program which also includes a built-in image enhancer for souping up your captures.

I use super screen recorder, which is a for-pay program. It works well, and can even capture sound, along with a given region of the screen. It saves to a bunch of different formats.

Personally, I never used http://www.fraps.com/ myself, but my friend tells me it's good. However it's only for trial.

Back in the days, I used to use SnagIt. It has region capture, you just select a specifil rectangular region of the screen that you want to capture.
It was free, BEFORE... Alas it's no more. But there's also a trial. www.SnagIt8.info

Hypercam has a select region to capture any area of your screen but the free version leaves an unregistered mark on the top left . Since you want to edit the videos anyway just extend the recorded rectangle selection about a quarter inch higher than you want . VDUB - virtual dub is an excellent video editing tool and freeware . Null transform in - Video -Filters is the thing you will want to crop .
