Subject: Regarding new rule in point 7.3
Today we have a changing in 7.3 point:
7.3 Do not split video into a large number of parts:
Do not split video that are less than 500 Mb.
The first part of the split video and all parts of the same size must not be less than 500 Mb.
At first I have say I always make one link for file with size less than 500 mb. Therefore I agree with those 2 lihes:
7.3 Do not split video into a large number of parts:
Do not split video that are less than 500 Mb.
But the next link below looks some strange for me. Let's say I have file 540 Mb. According new rule should I make a split it with 2 parts as 500 mb the first and as 40mb the second?
But also this rule says "all parts of the same size must not be less than 500 Mb"... Hgmmm. How can I do it? How can I split file of 540 mb size with two parts of 500 mb size?
As usually I made a split for such files. Less 500 mb as one link; and I split files from 500 mb and up to 999 mb with 2 parts close enough to equal size of every part.
For example, 540:2 = 270 mb each
Why would not do this rule like it was made on one another forum:
11a. Files 001mb - 399mb must not be posted with more than 1 download link.
11b. Files 400mb - 799mb must not be posted with more than 2 download links.
11c. Files 800mb - 1199mb must not be posted with more than 3 download links.
11d. Files 1200mb - 1599mb must not be posted with more than 4 download links; etc.
Sometimes make a copy is not a shame. Moreover max. file size of part is noted as 500 mb on forumophilia.
I propose so:
Files 001mb - 499mb must not be posted with more than 1 download link.
Files 500mb - 999mb must not be posted with more than 2 download links.
Files 1,000mb - 1,499mb must not be posted with more than 3 download links.
Files 1,499mb - 1,999mb must not be posted with more than 4 download links; etc.
P.S. My proposition says regarding RG files. Because I already saw mediafire files have another problem with that point 7.3...
And that forum for mediafire file noted separately:
File sizes allowed for Mediafire and Z*** are one half the size of other file hosts.
It mean half of 400 mb = 200 mb.
And on forumophilia just it may be noted size 200 mb for the part as allowed.
I think 200Mb limit size for parts is the best size.
Because as I said in the other thread, many free users which don't live on USA or Europe for example, have no stable internet service yet.
They still use the old ADSL connection in many countries.
As you may know, ADSL is not a stable service.
Then is almost impossible you download a file bigger than 200Mb as free user in these countries.
I think the free users will leave from Forumophilia. They will try find the same file with less parts size in other forums.
