Hi, does anyone of you recognize the places (not the girls) on the pictures. It doesn't need to be precise GPS coordinates, region/city would be nice enough. Especially the city in the background of the last pic.

Just like everybody else I deleted the site logo. Did I mention that Gimp sucks? I ended up using Microsoft Paint.

To be fair, the last picture is the only one that showed any architecture.
The others could be in any city park anywhere in the world.

I still don't know though. Smile Sorry.

The last picture is taken in Kyiv on the west bank of the Dniepr River, looking across the river toward the east bank.

I thought the church would be easy to find when this was first posted ... but noooooooo.

I looked for a while at pictures and maps on the web figuring it was Kiev. I found many churches with a similar architecture, but they all differed in a variety of ways. Finally--encouraged by nichoho ne znayu's info--I came upon the picture at this link.

http://www.uazone.net/go/gallery.cgi?gallery=Kyiv&what=churches&ac=show&id=171

I believe it is the Vydubecky monastery, as spelled on the web page, but I found more links for Vydubetsky monastery. In this picture you see the hill where the fourth picture was taken. The tricky part is that you cannot see the water behind the church from on top of the hill.

Most ukrainian pictures (ua,un,ma,ls etc) were produced at these places:

- Indoor scenes: A flat in central Kyiev
- Outdoor scenes: Mostly in different spots in Crimea (the south coast, and a few inland spots). The scene from Dnepr and the famous monastery in Kyiev is rare. There are a lot of pictures taken from some river outside town which I don't know of.

It is funny that the police closed the studio only after more than three years. In some of the pictures it is easy to spot the exact location of the apartment. Famous landmarks in central Kyiev can be seen through the window. This means that the Ukrainian police just didn't bother.

About modelflats: Looks like Moscow to me. The Stalin-architecture and the river bend should be Moscow. And if you look at the sites street names, "Arbat" is like the number one street there.

Sorry, don't know any good info on the web about travelling in this lovely country or how to find an apartment in Kyiev. The travel guide Lonely Planet (printed version) is the best place to look.

Not my favorite model, but I always thought this was one of the most beautiful pictures, I've kept it as a wallpaper for years.

I want THIS apartment...
