Anyone have success getting files from http://filearchiv.ru

I have been trying to use a Russian board with limited success.

One problem is using http://filearchiv.ru

I don't understand Russian but have tried to register with them.

Here is a guide to the laughably painful way to download a file. step by step.

There are loads of pop-ups which you need to navigate. i've downloaded lots from here and never found any spyware. So just clear the cookies it leaves after downloading.

1/ Click the link circled

2/ Click any of the links

3/ There is a clock counting down in the top right corner.

4/ When the count finishes click the link circled.

5/ Treat yourself to an ice cream

6/ Clear the pop-ups from the screen and enter the numbers and press enter

7/ Takes you back to the original screen, with the file details now underlined

8/ Right click and save target as.

9/ go to the park see what you can find.

A very helpful tutorial.

I have tried before...and even when the files start they download about 5kbps....

many times they just stop for no reason

I have tried at a Russian site but the screens I see are a little different than your shots. I need to spend more time at this problem or forget about it.

Not sure what the problem is. the site is just a host site, like rapidshare, so you need the file number that you want to download. If you know it, start at the first page and type the number in first box, then click the link circled, then follow the rest of the steps as above.

There is no search facility on this site so really no need to register
