Life After Oron

I have not subscribed to any alternate host. There are possibly four choices: Uploaded, Rapidshare, Luckyshare, and Deposit.

Still not sure which is the best, but it seems most favor Lucky- or Rapid- share.

I have also noticed the tendency of some up-loaders to use multiple small files instead of one as if to entice us to subscribe to their favorite host.

I recognize very well the limits of clicking the exceptionally slow "free" download icon. Only one download per session, which means only single file vids!

As such I am a free man! What a way to cure yourself from this addiction!

Life after Oron? I have a one word answer to that question:

SUCKS!

I used to have 4 premium accounts, now I just have Rapidshare. But due to them banning the accounts of a few friends who post, I'm a bit too paranoid to post my links in public. So I use it on private sites only these days. I have free accounts at Lucky, RG and Ry ushare, but I doubt I will make any of them premium since there is so little posted here or elsewhere that I want. And if any of those accounts get banned, it's not that big of a deal. I can just create a new one and remote my rs links into the new account. Plus, 99% of what I dl and post come straight from the sites via 'borrowed' passwords, so I haven't really needed to rely on a premium account. I'm lucky that way, I guess.

As far as small files goes, it depends on how small we are talking about. With so many hosts being so damn unstable, I prefer smaller files since they are more likely to complete their download than large files are.

The new Mega site is promising, however. Once they get the bugs worked out, hopefully it will be added here.
