Rapidshare.de

My account seems to have been extended automatically and my premium points total has disappeared. Tried to download and it seems that i am no longer being awarded premium points for downloads. Anybody else noticed this.

Here are 2 screens from my Rapidshare.de account. The first one nowmally shows the premium points balance in the second line. The second one normally has the balance near the bottom. Its missing in both.

I extended this account on 19 Nov using 10000 points until 19 Dec. Yesterday i had 7000 points left, they seem to have used these to extend my account by 3 weeks.

Seems they may be preparing to close. I would suggest if people have files they don't want to lose it may be a good idea to upload them to .com

I just went back to rapidshare.de to have another try and noticed the following on the front page which I think explains what has happened to your account:

"Unfortunately all drives of RapidShare.de are full right now. In the future, RapidShare.de's direction will point even more to conventional webhosting. This means that uploads will be possible again very soon, but only premium users with a paid account will be able to upload their files. Due to this changes, the premium-points feature has been cancelled completely. We have applied an account extension to every customer with collected points. We have also given thoughts to premium customers with less than 10000 points. Accounts with 5000 points for example have been extended for 15 days."

Bugger.

Hope .com don't go the same way. To be honest the only reason i upload is to get free accounts for download. Lets face it there's very little appreciation shown for uploading here, apart from the core of people who tend to be posters themselves, so the free account is the reward. Better start re downloading the files i want to keep and up them to .com

I'm hoping the same thing. Having just started uploading I was working towards enough premium points to get free downloads!

There'll soon be a situation where you can upload and download from both rapidshare.com and rapidshare.de (so much for the hard-drives being full story). They're essentially the same company just trying to get double the subscription money from their customers in my opinion. I also don't understand why they haven't released a version of RapidGet for the .com site. How hard could it be for them to modify their software to deal with a small url change such as switching .de to .com?

The first time I ever paid for porn in my life was for a rapidshare.de account. Shortly after I paid them they change to .com and I cant find anything new for .de what are the chances of that happening? I've been looking at porn on the internet since the internet was invented and I've seen every porn scam there is. rapidshare is the first porn company that I've ever paid and they screwed me. fuck you rapidshare!
