I would like to convert mpeg, avi files to DVD. I have a dvd burner and wish to convert so I can watch movies on DVD player.

Currently I can not watch files.

Does anyone know how to do this. Question

Yes, I do.
I convert mpg, wmv, avi and .rm to a DVD-disk stored on my computer with WinAVIVideoConverter, then I burn them to disks with InterVideo DVDCopy 3.
Yesterday I converted2,1 GB .wmv files to 4,8+ GB VOB's with the first programn, scaled and burned on a 4.7 GB disk with the second one.
There are many ways, but to me, this works easy fast and with great results.

You might also consider getting a divX-capable DVD player - then all you need to do is burn your avi/mpg files to disk and watch them. Won't help with .rm or .wmv files I'm afraid, but still gives you a lot for relatively little effort and expense.
